Sacha Baron Cohen Hires the 'Klown' Writers to Script His Next Movie

Denmark's finest comedians are taking the reins of Sacha Baron Cohen's new movie. Variety reports that Baron Cohen has hired Danish duo Casper Christensen and Frank Hvam, who wrote and starred in the cult hit comedy Klown (or Klovn in Denmark) and the TV series of the same name upon which the movie was based, to write his upcoming film The Lesbian. Announced last year, The Lesbian is a starring vehicle for Baron Cohen based on Hong Kong billionaire Cecil Chao, who offered $64 million to any man who could convince his lesbian daughter to marry him so she wouldn't marry her longtime girlfriend. Amy Poehler and Her Brother Are Producing a TV Show in Sweden

Amy Poehler is getting into the international TV business. THR reports that Poehler and her brother Greg have sold an English-language show to the Swedish network TV4. Called Welcome to Sweden, the series will be produced via the Poehlers' newly-formed international production company Syskon (which is Swedish for "sibling"). Welcome to Sweden is a semi-autobiographical series based on Greg Poehler's life, and he'll be making his acting debut in the series as its lead character Bruce, a New York accountant who falls for a Swedish lady and moves with her to her home country. You know when you hear or see something painfully patriotic, like Beyonce's "Proud To Be An American" cover for example, and you resist its pull because it is so cheesy and not in anyway representative of America's role in the modern world, until you realize that your eyes are raining anyway? That's what I felt when I first saw the toilet brimming with chips on this Russian A Good Old Fashioned Orgy poster. 'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this poster; god bless that chip-clogged toilet.

Prince William, Kate Decline Invitation To Visit The Simpsons

In a move I'm inclined to read as an act of aggression necessitating a declaration of war, Prince William and Kate's visit to The Simpsons is a no-go, despite Homer's gracious, sticky invitation to stop by for a read-through. I have to assume the two were exceedingly busy, or that the rift in space-time behind the Simpsons' bookcase only works one way, because why, why, why would you not go do this?
