Kimmel on Leno: "I'm Not Going to Be One of Those Guys that They Have to Drag Off the Stage"

"I'm not going to be one of those guys that they have to drag off the stage. I mean, I look at it now and I think, 'You know, if we were lucky enough to be able to do another 10 years, I would be very happy with that.'"

Late Night Roundup: Aziz Ansari Thinks about Civil Rights During Sex, and Patton Oswalt Has a Racist Baby

Parks and Recreation’s Aziz Ansari paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel last night and started talking big issues: Why does a restaurant as controversial as Chick-fil-a have to serve such delicious chicken? He also shared his technique of thinking about how much civil rights progress America has made every time he has interracial sex. Letterman Talks Leno: "The Funniest Guy I've Ever Known" and "Most Insecure"

"Jay [Leno] and I were always friends before all of this happened… I've never met anyone quite like Jay. I will say,  and I'm happy to say that I think he's the funniest guy I've ever known, just flat-out. If you go to see him do his nightclub act, just the funniest. The smartest. Wonderful observations and very appealing as a comic. Therefore, the fact that he is also the most insecure person I have ever known, I could never reconcicle that."

Conan Talks Leno with Letterman

Conan was on Letterman last night for the first time in 13 years and they didn't waste anytime getting into Leno talk, as they assumed he was watching and would want them to cut to the chase. Conan has talked about the time he lost the Tonight Show before but Letterman is able to bring out a new angle on it, as he went through nearly the exact same situation. Since he's further removed from the situation, however, Letterman is able to take a sick pleasure in it all. Their relationship is fun, not exactly father and son – more like nephew and son-of-a-bitch uncle. Leno is the uncle [...]

Letterman Producer Rob Burnett on Doing the Show without an Audience

We thought, well, there will be news channels on, there will be reporters running around, we should be able to do a show. And in light of everything else that's going on, maybe it will be a nice alternative for people who have had their fill of watching reporters in slickers in the rain."

- 'Late Show' producer Rob Burnett to TV Guide about the hurricane-inspired decision to have David Letterman go on the air without an audience the past two nights.
