Triumph the Insult Comic Dog Is Suing Carnival Cruise Lines

Conan regular Triumph the Insult Comic Dog used the show last night as a platform to announce he's suing Carnival Cruise Lines for stealing his name for their ship, the Carnival Triumph. Hopefully, this will be the last lawsuit Carnival receives from a Conan character. I'm assuming they don't have a cruise ship called the Carnival Preparation H Raymond.

'South Park' Creators Sued by a Guy Who Created a Show Called "Lollipop Forest" and Probably Isn’t Crazy

Matt Stone and Trey Parker, creators of South Park, have just been slapped with a copyright infringement lawsuit over a character featured in their popular "Imaginationland" episode trilogy. TMZ reports that a man by the name of Exavier Wardlaw filed a suit in federal court in Philadelphia, claiming that the "Imaginationland" character "The Lollipop King" is a rip-off of his character "Big Bad Lollipop" from an independent kids show he made called The Lollipop Forest. According to the suit, Wardlaw is miffed that his family-friendly character was exposed to "unwholesome language and sexual innuendo" and he is asking that South Park remove all traces of the character [...]

That Time Louis Vuitton Tried to Sue 'The Hangover 2'

That scene caused Louis Vuitton to get their LV printed panties in a twist. Alan's bag was a knock off, which displeased Mr. Vuitton. They sued Warner Bros. because of what they felt was a trademark violation. Last week, a judge dismissed this case because it was dumb but also for some smart reasons. He explained that "as long as the defendant's use of the mark is (1) 'artistically relevant' to the work and (2) not 'explicitly misleading' as to the source or content of the work," then they’re under their First Amendment rights.
