'Anchorman 2' Has a Release Date: Christmas 2013

This time next year, you'll be sleeping in after a midnight screening of the long-awaited sequel to Anchorman, entitled Anchorman: The Legend Continues. Paramount just announced the film will be released on December 20, 2013, just in time for the holidays. Anchorman 2 will see stars Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, and David Koechner return, along with producer Judd Apatow, writers Adam McKay and Ferrell, and director McKay. Little is known about the plot, but Kristen Wiig is in talks to play Steve Carell's love interest and the film will be see the news team dealing with the development of the 24-hour news cycle [...]

ABC Sets Midseason Premieres for 'How to Live with Your Parents' and 'Family Tools'

ABC just released its midseason schedule today, which will see the premiere of two new sitcoms, How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life) and Family Tools. How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life), which won a competition with ABC's Don't Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 for most absurdly-long TV show title, kicks off in the cushy post-Modern Family slot, Wednesdays at 9:30pm, on April 3rd. FX Announces January Premieres for 'Archer,' 'Totally Biased,' and Jim Jefferies's New Show

FX just announced that it's premiering a Thursday night comedy block on January 17th, 2013. Charlie Sheen's Anger Management (which was recently picked up for 90 episodes as part of mindless march towards syndication) will kick things off with back-to-back episodes at 9 and 9:30 before settling into the 9:30 timeslot for good. The fourth season of Archer will air at 10, followed by Legit, a new series starring Australian comedian Jim Jefferies at 9:30. The supporting cast for Legit features Dan Bakkedahl (The Daily Show), D.J. Qualls (Road Trip), and Gillian Vigman (MADtv), and the show follows Jefferies in his quest to "become legitimate in life."
