Sarah Silverman to Star in Her First HBO Special, Produced by Funny or Die

Sarah Silverman is coming to HBO. The pay-cable network announced today that Silverman will be doing her first-ever stand-up special for them, produced by Funny or Die. Entitled Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles, the hour-long special will film next month and air in the fall. This past year, Silverman has lent her voice to Bob's Burgers and Wreck-It Ralph, and she signed on for a supporting role in Seth MacFarlane's live-action western A Million Ways to Die in the West. Kristen Schaal's First Hour-Long Special to Debut on Comedy Central on April 1st

Comedy Central announced this week that April 1st will be the premiere of Kristen Schaal: Live at the Fillmore, the first hour-long stand-up special from Schaal, who you probably know from The Daily Show, Bob's Burgers, 30 Rock, and a million other amazing things. The special, which features a cameo from Schaal's comedy partner Kurt Braunohler, will be released via an extended DVD the next day,on April 2nd. It'll debut on Comedy Central Monday, April 1st at midnight — unless this is all just some elaborate April Fool's Day prank by Schaal, which wouldn't be all that surprising.

Comedian DC Pierson released a brand-new 30-minute stand-up special this weekend after promising fans he'd do so if enough of them pre-ordered his new young-adult novel, Crap Kingdom, and the full special is embedded above. You still have three days to pre-order the book if you'd like Pierson to incorporate your name into a custom rap song on YouTube, which is way cooler than anything Stephenie Meyer has ever done for her fans.

Craig Ferguson to Host a Fancy Post-Super Bowl Special with Steve Carell and Others

CBS's Late Late Show is doing a post-Super Bowl show after the game on February 3rd, and some big names are set to join host Craig Ferguson for what's being dubbed The Craig Ferguson Super Bowl Special. TV Line reports that the show will be heading to New Orleans, visiting Jackson Square (the Super Bowl location), Bourbon Street, the Tremé District, and other local spots for segments and that Craig Ferguson's guests will be Steve Carell (promoting his movie The Incredible Burt Wonderstone), Neil Patrick Harris, footballer player Drew Brees, Big Brother host Julie Chen, and Twilight actress Nikki Reed. So, What Was 'The Greatest Event in Television History'?

Adam Scott has been teasing his mysterious new Adult Swim special The Greatest Event in Television History for weeks now via a series of Twitter pictures and TV ads, but last night at midnight, we finally got to see what all the hype was about. The 11-minute special (embedded in its entirety above) also stars Scott's longtime friends Jon Hamm and Paul Rudd and is a mockumentary about the trio collaborating to recreate the opening credits to the cheesy 80s detective show Simon & Simon, shot-for-shot starring Scott and Hamm. The special ends with the actual full-on rereation of the Simon & Simon intro.

DC Pierson (DERRICK, Mystery Team, The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep and Never Had To) just released his new novel Crap Kingdom yesterday, and he put out his one-man show (embedded above) and a half-hour stand-up special for free this week in conjunction with the book's release. This is his hour-long one-man show DC Pierson Is Bad at Girls, in which he tells three stories of romantic disasters from his life. If you wan't to binge on new DC Pierson content, this would be the perfect week to do it.

Louis C.K.'s New Hour Special 'Oh My God' Debuts on HBO April 13th

Louis C.K. is still keeping up with this "one new hour a year thing." His latest stand-up special, entitled Louis C.K.: Oh My God, is set to debut on HBO on April 13th at 10pm, the pay-cable network just announced. This marks C.K.'s second hour-long special for HBO after 2007's Shameless. Releasing the special on HBO marks a step in a surprising direction after C.K. self-released his last hour, Live at the Beacon Theater, on his website for $5 and made a ton of cash. One week from today, on July 25th at 10:00pm, Jimmy Fallon will host Jimmy Fallon's Primetime Music Special with special guest Jimmy Fallon. He'll be performing songs from his recently released Blow Your Pants Off for people who are too lazy to go on the Internet. Jimmy is great and all, but maybe give The Roots a set. Michael Che Is Working on an Hour Special

Even though he's only been performing since 2010, Michael Che has quickly become one of the country's most acclaimed up-and-coming stand-ups and now, he's working on his first hour-long stand-up set. Che told W magazine about his plans for an hour special, explaining, "This has been a crazy, exciting year, and I am hoping that what comes out of it is really quality material. I am working on an hour-long performance right now, and I want it to be something really special that people will love."

Craig Ferguson to Release New Stand-Up Special on Netflix March 15th

Craig Ferguson, host of CBS's The Late Late Show announced via Twitter last week that he'll be releasing a new hour-long stand-up special on Netflix later this month. Called Craig Ferguson: I'm Here to Help, this is his third stand-up special, following two that debuted on Comedy Central, 2011's Does This Need to Be Said? and 2009's A Wee Bit o' Revolution. Louis C.K.'s Next Standup Special Coming to HBO in 2013

HBO just announced in a press release today that they're releasing Louis C.K.'s new hour-long stand-up special sometime next year. The as-of-now untitled special will be filmed during one of the shows for C.K.'s current 16-city tour, which wraps in February. This will be Louis C.K.'s second hour-long for HBO after 2007's Shameless. C.K. tweeted that he'll be releasing the hour online for $5 via his website a few months after it airs on HBO, which is how he released his last hour Live at the Beacon Theater and album WORD: Live at Carnegie Hall.
