Trailer: Robert De Niro and Morgan Freeman in 'Last Vegas,' a Geriatric Version of 'The Hangover'

Here's the trailer for Last Vegas, a new comedy due out in November. Starring Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Kline as a bunch of old dudes who head to Las Vegas for a bachelor party, it's basically an elderly version of The Hangover. It's shocking that the trailer is completely devoid of Viagra jokes.

The Trailer for the Kay Cannon Scripted 'Pitch Perfect' Is Pitch Solid

There are some trailers where you can just hear the studio executives' conversation:

Exec 1: "Ok, Glee is really popular with kids. Am I saying that right, "kids?" What should we do?" Exec 2: "There's this book called Pitch Perfect that's just like Bring It On, but, wait for it, with singing!" Exec 3: "Who will be in it?" Exec 4: "Anna Kendrick?" Exec 1 and 2: "Perfect!" Exec 3: "Pitch Perfect." Exex 1, 2, 3, 4: "Hahahahahahahahah" [Then they laugh and throw money at each other for eternity]

However, 30 Rock writer and all-around funny person, Kay Cannon wrote it, so it could/should be better than expected. At minimum, you might [...]

Check Out the Trailer for High Road, the UCB's Mostly Improvised Stoner Movie

Here's the first (red band) trailer for High Road, a new mostly improvised comedy by the UCB's Matt Walsh. It's got quite the cast: Ed Helms, Rob Riggle, Abby Elliot, Horatio Sanz, Lizzy Caplan, Joe LoTruglio Matt T. Jones, Kyle Gass, Zach Woods and newcomer James Pumphrey, amongst others. It's a stoner movie, which is fitting for this week here on the site, and it looks really loose and crazy. It's heading to the festival circuit, starting with the Newport Beach Film Festival on April 29th, and hopefully it'll be come available to watch for us non-festivalgoers at some point soon after that.

Dax Shepard Will Punch Everyone in Hollywood in the Face

Dax Shepard's Brother's Justice is a mockumentary about Shepard trying to reinvent himself as a martial arts expert, despite no training or expertise at all. It looks pretty entertaining! It just premiered at the Austin Film Festival last week and is currently being shopped around to distributors.

This John Krasinski-Lena Dunham Movie Looks… Hilarious?

"You betrayed me." "Dude, you're married." HAHAHhahhahahAHAHAHAHAhahHAH!!! New Yorker personal essayist Lena Dunham co-wrote the movie with director Ry Russo-Young; however, there appears to be a major quality of sex upgrade from Girls. (Johnny Kras isn't going to ask anyone to step on his balls, I assume.) Helping that is the eerie music, which makes it unclear whether everyone is about to fuck or murder each other. Which do you think it will be? BOTH!?

The New Trailer for High Road Is Even Darker

That is some heavy shit to yes, and. The second High Road trailer is significantly bleaker than the High Road red band trailer. If anything, the new cut makes Matt Walsh's film look a little like an infinitely more realistic Knocked Up: unplanned pregnancy, police intervention and despair abound in the primarily improvised stoner flick. You know, as in actual life. On the flip side, you get to see more Zach Woods! The film premieres tomorrow at the Newport Beach Film Festival. "You're just a couple of liars in love. Maybe that's what makes you guys so perfect for each other," Lizzy Caplan's character opines to Abby [...]

Stoner Comedies Get Medieval in the Your Highness Trailer

Here's the first red band trailer for Your Highness, the stoner comedy/medieval adventure hybrid from Pineapple Express director David Gordon Green. Starring Danny McBride, James Franco, Natalie Portman, and Zooey Deschanel, it's scheduled to open on April 8. These guys are clearly fans of the genre of movies they're spoofing, and it looks pretty excellent based on this trailer.

John Landis Returns to the Big Screen with Burke and Hare

John Landis, the director of The Blues Brothers, Coming to America and An American Werewolf in London, is back with his first movie in a decade with Burke and Hare, a period comedy that looks like a non-musical version of Sweeney Todd. Starring Simon Pegg, Andy Serkis, Tim Curry and Isla Fisher, it's about a couple of old-timey British chaps who get into the cadaver-selling business, with wacky and madcap results. I'm not completely sold on it after seeing the trailer, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Ricky Gervais Will Teach You English with the Help of an Idiot

As Ricky says, "This is the worst English lesson ever." It might not teach anyone English, but it might remind people of the joy of listening to the blabbering nonsense of a bonehead. Wait, so what does "where" mean? And what does "where" mean? Hopefully we'll get some answers on August 14, when the show gets released for free on iTunes.

Kristen Wiig Channels the Führer in the Bridesmaids Red Band Trailer

In case anybody is still on the fence about ponying up $12.50 to see it in theaters, the Bridesmaids red band trailer promises all the filthy cursing and proposed fuck-a-thons the human mind could desire. Some new tidbits include Wiig's Hitler impression (historically accurate), Wendi McLendon-Covey's tale of domestic terror (devastating) and the intensely acrobatic, extremely goofy love-making skills of one Mr. Jon Hamm (why, why, why would anyone not see this movie?). The Bridesmaids character posters are less revealing, though if I ever have room in my heart for more than one wild card, Melissa McCarthy will be it.

First Trailer for Showtime's Episodes: Like Joey, But Meta

Here's the first trailer for Showtime's upcoming comedy Episodes. Created by Friends co-creator David Crane, it stars Matt LeBlanc as himself, an actor known for one role trying to make a comeback. Kind of like former Friends castmate Lisa Kudrow's The Comeback! Too many layers!

If that description turns you off, what with Matt LeBlanc and the co-creator of friends making a show about a struggling actor being a bit too Joey-like, give the trailer a chance. It actually looks pretty great. It's more Curb Your Enthusiasm Hollywood than Joey Hollywood, and LeBlanc looks like he's playing the role with enough self-awareness and mockery to make it work. It'll [...]
