'Community' Is Doing a Puppet Episode

The Community cast appeared at a panel in Los Angeles last night to talk about the show, and they revealed that there's an upcoming theme episode of the show that involves all of them being played by puppets. A premiere date for the puppet episode hasn't been announced yet, but it'll be sometime in April or May. The episode's plot involves the gang taking a ride in a hot air balloon that crashes in the woods, where they meet a friendly mountain man played by Jason Alexander. Here's your first look at the upcoming claymation Community Christmas special. Here's the official synopsis: When Abed (Danny Pudi) wakes up in stop-motion animation, he takes it as a sign that he and the group must re-discover the meaning of Christmas. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) and Britta (Gillian Jacobs) become growingly concerned about Abed’s mental health and enlist the help of Professor Duncan (John Oliver). The group undergoes hypnosis to explore Abed’s winter wonderland and soon unravel the truth behind Abed’s madness.

'SNL' to Do Two Primetime Election Specials

NBC announced today that SNL will produce two Thursday night primetime election specials. Airing on September 20 and 27, the specials will run from 8:00-8:30. This explains why 30 Rock was the only Thursday comedy set to premiere in October. The 2008 election specials were HUGE, bringing in nearly 9 million viewers, so the move was a no-brainer for NBC and SNL. Now we just need to hope that Mitt chooses Sarah Palin or someone as silly as Sarah Palin as his running mate.

The idea of sitting in Martha's opulent patio while she grills me on how much money I make would be enough to make me break. Break down crying, I mean.
