And Here's The Kicker by Mike Sacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHTK won the popular comment vote, narrowly beating Chris Gethard's A Bad Idea I'm About to Do (which will definitely be the second book we'll do). In a way, it's the perfect book to start the series, as it offers so many different points of view. The book features 21 interviews with some of the most revered comedy writers ever from George Meyer to David Sedaris to Jack Handey to Bob Odenkirk to Harold Ramis – seriously, I kind of just want to list all the amazing names – each offering their unique perspective on comedy.

So, what's next? [...]

Chris Gethard's book is coming out Jan. 10, and he's gearing up to throw down with every other human being who has ever written a book. Already he's taken on Tim Ferris, Malcolm Gladwell, and Khaled Hosseini, AND set his own toaster on fire. More authors will undoubtedly be trashed in the coming hours, and with them, more household appliances set aflame. Chris Gethard of public access television's The Chris Gethard Show has written a book called A Bad Idea I'm About to Do: True Tales of Seriously Poor Judgment and Stunningly Awkward Adventure, set for release Jan. 10. It includes such tales as "his volunteering for the 'Scared Straight' program (resulting in inmates openly threatening to rape him) or his horrendously botched attempt to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a pro wrestler. Or the time he instigated a high-speed chase with a New Jersey State Trooper." Oh boy. I'd say hitting that pre-order button is a good idea you're about to do. (Sorry.)

Chris Gethard was on Late Night last night promoting his book and far more importantly, talking about Diddy's magical TV-stopping powers. As a followup to Diddy's appearance, Gethard also officially invites UFC welterweight champ George St-Pierre to come on The Chris Gethard Show and fight him. And if he has to, he'll fight Mickey Ward, Mickey Rourke, and Mickey Mouse along the way. Any Mickey who's gonna step to. Part two below.
