Lena Dunham Tells Jimmy Kimmel About Her New Gig Writing 'Archie Comics'

Earlier this year it was reported that Lena Dunham had signed on to write a four-part Archie miniseries set to come out sometime next year, and on last night's Jimmy Kimmel Live she gave some hints of what we can expect from her "feminist update" of the Archie world, including the introduction of reality shows to Riverdale and Dunham giving an honest effort "trying not to show breasts."

Girls star/creator Lena Dunham is getting ready to write her first comic book. Publisher Archie Comics announced today that they've hired Dunham to write a four-issue Archie miniseries that's expected to come out next year. There aren't any details on what Dunham's Archie comic will be about, but she said in the press release, "I was an avid Archie collector as a child — conventions, first editions that l kept in plastic sleeves, the whole shebang. It has so much cultural significance but also so much personal significance, and to get to play with these beloved characters is a wild creative opportunity."
