Last night, the Comedy Awards aired on Comedy Central. After last year's ceremony, we discussed the Comedy Awards' biggest problem – it's an award show. From the Oscars down to whatever Nickelodeon's award show is called, the actual honor inherently doesn't really mean anything beyond it's nice to win things and it's nice when people we like win things. So the Comedy Awards, which seem even more trivial because they are so young, are nice because our favorite people get to be honored. This morning, Scott Aukerman announced on his podcast, Comedy Bang! Bang!, that he recently directed a half-hour special, starring Zach Galifianakis, entitled Between Two Ferns: A Fairytale of New York that will air right before The Comedy Awards, on May 6th. God, Between Two Ferns is without a doubt my favorite web series. It's just pitch-perfect and, despite you kind of knowing what you're going to get, never gets stale or predictable. This episode, featuring Sean Penn, mixes the formula up by having Seth Galifianakis (who I believe was first introduced in the stand up movie/documentary Live From the Purple Onion. It was produced by Netflix and is available for instant viewing, y'all) sit in for his twin brother and by being sponsored by Speed Stick. Love it.

B2F has been incredibly popular, bringing in over 80 million views across the entire series, on Funny or Die alone.
