
Comedy Central announced today that Stephen Colbert will be interviewing former President Bill Clinton on an episode of The Colbert Report next month. The interview will take place in St. Louis on Saturday, April 6th, at the 2013 meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative University (or CGI U), an annual event Clinton holds to address political and social issues with 1,000 college students. Colbert's interview with Clinton, taped before said audience of 1,000 college students, will be included in a CGI U-centric episode of The Colbert Report during the week of April 8th. Aha! The long-awaited inside scoop on Mindy Kaling and Bill Clinton's burgeoning romance, kind of. Apparently, after they appeared on The Today Show together, Bill was trying frantically to contact Mindy to say goodbye. But all she had left behind at the studio was one glass slipper copy of Gwyneth Paltrow's cookbook. I bet Bill still makes the vegan organic tempeh lasagna and thinks wistfully of the one that got away.
Apparently, Tina Fey wanted Bill Clinton to make a cameo on the 100th episode of 30 Rock. Hey, Al Gore's done it! But when she asked, she got shut down. And the rep didn't even ask Bill!
