NBC Orders Five Additional Episodes of 'Marry Me'

Good news for one of this season's new comedies: Not long after canceling A to Z and Bad Judge, THR reports that NBC has ordered five more episodes of its freshman comedy Marry Me from creator David Caspe. This brings Marry Me's debut season order up to 18 episodes, though it's unknown yet whether NBC will eventually expand it to a traditional 22-episode season. Ken Marino Joins Casey Wilson in David Caspe's NBC Pilot 'Marry Me'

Casey Wilson has found her onscreen fiancé. TV Line reports that Ken Marino has signed on to star opposite Wilson in Marry Me, creator David Caspe's (Happy Endings creator and Wilson's real-life fiancé) upcoming pilot for NBC that follows a newly engaged couple. Marino appeared in a handful of shows last year including Burning Love, Children's Hospital, Drunk History, and Eastbound & Down. Marry Me will make Marino's first starring role on a major network comedy since he was a regular on the short-lived NBC series Leap of Faith back in 2002.

Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael Sell a Movie to Will Ferrell and Adam McKay

Comedy partners Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael have sold a movie pitch to Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions, Deadline reports. The untitled project will be written by and star the duo, who recently co-wrote and starred in the independent comedy Ass Backwards together. Plot details are being kept under wraps.

Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael New Show is About 'DINKS'

The premise of Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael's ABC show in development has been announced. DINKS, which stands for Double Income, No Kids, will follow a thirty-something couple who, obviously, have no children. The duo, who met at NYU and have worked together for years, signed a deal last month to develop the show. Raphael is set to star, though Wilson's involvement on-air is still unclear. Happy Endings's executive producer Jonathan Groff will serve as executive producer on DINKS. Meanwhile, Wilson and Raphael's independent film Ass Backwards, which they and wrote starred in, will be released on September 30 on iTunes and in theaters on November 8.

NBC has picked up its first new comedy from this year's batch of pilots. According to THR, the network has picked up Happy Endings creator David Caspe's pilot Marry Me starring Casey Wilson and Ken Marino as a couple "who get engaged but realize getting married is harder than it looks." Casey Wilson to Star in NBC Pilot Written by 'Happy Endings' Creator David Caspe

Casey Wilson has been cast in a new NBC pilot that will see her collaborating with Happy Endings creator David Caspe once again. THR reports that Wilson has been cast as one of the leads in Caspe's comedy pilot, Marry Me, which will be in contention for the 2014-15 TV season. Marry Me follows a couple, Annie and Jake, who get engaged but realized getting married is harder than it looks. Wilson will playing Annie, described as "pretty and emotional." The role of Jake, described as "cute and logical" has yet to be cast. Seth Gordon (Identity Thief, Horribles Bosses) is signed on to direct the pilot.

Erinn Hayes to Play June Diane Raphael's Twin on NBC Pilot 'Mason Twins'

June Diane Raphael's twin sister has been cast for Mason Twins, the NBC pilot she co-created with Casey Wilson. THR reports that Erinn Hayes, who is a regular on Adult Swim's Children's Hospital, has been cast as Raphael's estranged twin sister Lizzie, "an intense, successful corporate climber who comes back home after she catches her fiancé cheating and loses her job — both in the same day." Hayes also had a role on NBC's now canceled Guys with Kids as well as in Sundance films this year by David Cross (Hits) and David Wain (They Came Together).
