Good news for one of this season's new comedies: Not long after canceling A to Z and Bad Judge, THR reports that NBC has ordered five more episodes of its freshman comedy Marry Me from creator David Caspe. This brings Marry Me's debut season order up to 18 episodes, though it's unknown yet whether NBC will eventually expand it to a traditional 22-episode season. Starring Casey Wilson and Ken Marino as an engaged couple, Marry Me is one of the few new comedies to fare well with both critics and ratings this year and benefitted greatly from having The Voice as its lead-in for its first two [...]
Casey Wilson has found her onscreen fiancé. TV Line reports that Ken Marino has signed on to star opposite Wilson in Marry Me, creator David Caspe's (Happy Endings creator and Wilson's real-life fiancé) upcoming pilot for NBC that follows a newly engaged couple. Marino appeared in a handful of shows last year including Burning Love, Children's Hospital, Drunk History, and Eastbound & Down. Marry Me will make Marino's first starring role on a major network comedy since he was a regular on the short-lived NBC series Leap of Faith back in 2002.
Comedy partners Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael have sold a movie pitch to Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions, Deadline reports. In addition to the movie, Wilson and Raphael have sold two shows that are in development for the 2014-15 TV season. The first, DINKS (short for "double income no kids"), is for ABC and follows a working couple without any children. The second, The Mason Twins, is for NBC and is about [...]

Comedy Bang Bang – Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael
JOSH: Fans [...]
The premise of Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael's ABC show in development has been announced. DINKS, which stands for Double Income, No Kids, will follow a thirty-something couple who, obviously, have no children. The duo, who met at NYU and have worked together for years, signed a deal last month to develop the show. Raphael is set to star, though Wilson's involvement on-air is still unclear. Happy Endings's executive producer Jonathan Groff will serve as executive producer on DINKS. Meanwhile, Wilson and Raphael's independent film Ass Backwards, which they and wrote starred in, will be released on September 30 on iTunes and in theaters on November 8.
