Comedy Central Picks Up Six New Digital Series

CC: Studios, the digital arm of Comedy Central, is developing six new series that will be distributed across all of the networks platforms, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It also renewed three series, giving seconds seasons to Bro-Dependent, This Is Not Happening and The Walsh Brothers' Great & Secret Comedy Show. The new series included an interview series with Kurt Braunohler, and a series from UCB's Jon Gabrus and Justin Tyler that will star 30 Rock's Kevin “Dot Com” Brown.

This is the premiere episode of a new Comedy Central web series called The Great and Secret Comedy Show from sibling comedy duo the Walsh Brothers. The brothers have been performing their unpredictable live show in LA for years, after originating it in Boston and now they're bringing their comedy into strangers' homes.

Comedy Central Launches a Digital Wing Called CC Studios

Ready to acknowledge that the internet is here to stay, Comedy Central just announced the launch of a digital production company called CC Studios that will produce content for the web and other non-TV platforms. CC Studios dropped its first two web shows today: Bro-Dependent, in which The Groundlings' H. Michael Croner and Greg Worswick play a couple of bros, and Couched, in which comedian Ben Hoffman crashes with college kids for a weekend as a tie-in with his new Comedy Central show The Ben Show.
