Sony Is Developing an All-Male 'Ghostbusters' Reboot

Paul Feig isn't the only director set to bring Ghostbusters back to the big screen. According to Deadline, Sony is currently developing a "male-driven action-centric" Ghostbusters reboot called Ghost Corps from Ivan Reitman and Dan Aykroyd, who will reportedly have offices at Sony with the sole task of finding future Ghostbusters "branding opportunities." Captain America: The Winter Soldier duo Joe and Anthony Russo will direct, Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3, Mission: Impossible 5) will write, and according to Deadline, there's a possibility that co-producer Channing Tatum will star in the film as well. Here's what Reitman told Deadline on the project, as well as his plans for the [...]

Paul Feig Is Planning a Gay Rom-Com and Wants Channing Tatum and 'SNL's John Milhiser to Star

Bridesmaids director and Freaks and Geeks creator Paul Feig gave details about a new movie he's developing to reporters at a dinner party to promote the DVD release of his latest movie, The Heat, last night. The movie is a gay romantic-comedy, and he wants Channing Tatum and new SNL featured player John Milhiser (who Feig originally introduced to Lorne Michaels) for the lead roles, according to Cinema Blend. The untitled film involves an average guy who doesn't understand why a super attractive dude is dating him. Vulture is quick to point out that Tatum isn't actually attached to the project, hasn't even met with Feig about it, and [...]

'21 Jump Street 2' Set for a 2014 Release

Sony began prepping the sequel to 21 Jump Street before the first movie even hit theaters, and now, the studio has announced that 21 Jump Street 2 will be out in 2014. Sony revealed the info at CinemaCon yesterday with a logo for the sequel being included as part of the studio's 2014 slate. No specific date has been set for a release at this time, just the year. The original movie's writers, Jonah Hill and Michael Bacall, are also writing the new one, with Hill and Channing Tatum are expected to return as stars. 21 Jump Street's ending set up a sequel where the two main characters [...]

Jonah Hill Refuses to Compare 21 Jump Street to Never Been Kissed

Wait a second. Jonah Hill describes the central conceit of 21 Jump Street as "getting to relive the most important part of your youth, high school — and thinking you have all the answers, but realizing you have none of the answers," but he DOESN'T think the movie is comparable to Drew Barrymore's 1999 classic Never Been Kissed? Uh, did he miss the part of the movie where Josie Geller gets to enroll at South Glen South High School to relive her high school years, thinking she now knows enough to avoid being called Josie Grossie and getting stood up at the prom by Billy Prince, but finding [...]

Zooey Deschanel, Channing Tatum and Bon Iver Are Coming to Studio 8H

Channing Tatum will host SNL on Feb. 4 with musical guest Bon Iver, and Zooey Deschanel will host on Feb. 11, when she will hopefully come ukelele-to-ukelele with Abby Elliott's impersonation of her. I smell a cute bangs/vintage dress showdown!

Steve Carell Is Pretty Scary in the Trailer for the Serious Movie 'Foxcatcher'

Here's the unsettling trailer for a new Steve Carell movie, which is not usually how you'd describe a Steve Carell movie trailer. Foxcatcher, which comes out this fall, is a drama that stars Channing Tatum and Carell in the true story of Olympic wrestling champ Mark Schultz and his schizophrenic coach John DuPont. This is the first starring role in a full-on drama for Carell, who is fitted with prosthetics and a creepy voice for the role.

Jimmy Kimmel Made a Weird Channing Tatum Music Video

Here's a music video Jimmy Kimmel Live aired yesterday during a special NBA finals edition of the show yesterday. It's for a song called "(I Wanna) Channing All Over Your Tatum," and it features Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Olivia Munn, Gabourey Sidibe, Miley Cyrus, and Jimmy Kimmel rapping and/or singing about Channing Tatum if that's something you're interested in.

Jimmy Fallon and Channing Tatum Wear Velcro Suits and Throw Balls at Each Other

Guest Channing Tatum played a fun game on Jimmy Fallon's show last night called "Sticky Balls," in which they donned velcro suits and competed to see who could get the most balls stuck to each other's suits. It's probably way more fun to play than it is to watch, but it's still pretty fun to watch.

The New 21 Jump Street Trailer Is the Longest Trailer Ever

Four minutes and 43 seconds has got to be brushing up against some records for longest movie trailer ever. But while not all comedies might be able to pull it off, this trailer makes 21 Jump Street look worthwhile even after watching five minutes of its best jokes. It's got all the Rob Riggle touching Jonah Hill's tongue of the original trailer, plus more angry Ice Cube, frustrated school principal Jake Johnson (who could easily be playing his New Girl character who's quit bartending), and Channing Tatum telling science to fuck itself while standing in front of a white board full of the number 4. In other words, [...]

The Red-Band Trailer For 21 Jump Street Looks Pretty Great

Let's go ahead and declare this afternoon a high school comedy trailer double feature! Act One was Project X; Act Two is 21 Jump Street. The latter stars Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Ellie Kemper, which we knew about, but there's also Nick Offerman and Rob Riggle. And Ice Cube, and Dave Franco. And a party! Duh, because parties are an essential staple of the high school comedy. As are drugs and pooping oneself. And those aren't even the best part of the trailer. (The best part of the trailer is when Ice Cube says "Twittersphere.")

Here's the Trailer for '22 Jump Street'

22 Jump Street, the sequel to last year's 21 Jump Street reboot, is due out next summer, and this trailer for it just dropped. The movie brings back original stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, as well as directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and supporting cast members Ice Cube, Nick Offerman, Rob Riggle, and Dave Franco.

The '21 Jump Street' Sequel Will Be Called '22 Jump Street'

Following in the tradition of sequel titles like Ocean's Twelve and The Whole Ten Yards, Sony announced in a press release yesterday that the follow-up to 21 Jump Street will be called 22 Jump Street. The previous movie, a remake of the '80s show of the same name, came out last spring and earned good reviews and a ton of money at the box office, a rare feat for a big-budget studio comedy these days. Sony began developing the sequel to 21 Jump Street last year, before the first movie even hit theaters. It was previously announced that Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Ice Cube will be returning [...]

'21 Jump Street' to Start Heading Down Sequel Street this Fall

Sony has announced they're planning on shooting a sequel to 21 Jump Street (possibly titled "22 Jump Street: We Moved!") this fall. Jonah Hill will be back starring and co-writing the script with Michael Bacall. Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will likely be back as well. Channing Tatum should be back but he's still an uncertainty because every time he leaves his house 200 women claw at his abs and squeeze his buns until he runs back inside.

Channing Tatum and Fred Armisen Compare Parents and Gym Routines in SNL Promos

Channing Tatum's SNL promos are gonna be great, as soon as he calls his mom, Carol Channing, and his other mom, Tatum O'Neal, to check what his name is. Okay, then once that's settled they'll just wait for Fred Armisen to finish his weekly pre-show affirmations. Then they'll probably just wanna hit the gym a few times to bulk up for the big dance lift. And then after that they'll do the promos.
