Here's a music video Jimmy Kimmel Live aired yesterday during a special NBA finals edition of the show yesterday. It's for a song called "(I Wanna) Channing All Over Your Tatum," and it features Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Olivia Munn, Gabourey Sidibe, Miley Cyrus, and Jimmy Kimmel rapping and/or singing about Channing Tatum if that's something you're interested in.
Guest Channing Tatum played a fun game on Jimmy Fallon's show last night called "Sticky Balls," in which they donned velcro suits and competed to see who could get the most balls stuck to each other's suits. It's probably way more fun to play than it is to watch, but it's still pretty fun to watch.
Four minutes and 43 seconds has got to be brushing up against some records for longest movie trailer ever. But while not all comedies might be able to pull it off, this trailer makes 21 Jump Street look worthwhile even after watching five minutes of its best jokes. It's got all the Rob Riggle touching Jonah Hill's tongue of the original trailer, plus more angry Ice Cube, frustrated school principal Jake Johnson (who could easily be playing his New Girl character who's quit bartending), and Channing Tatum telling science to fuck itself while standing in front of a white board full of the number 4. In other words, [...]
Let's go ahead and declare this afternoon a high school comedy trailer double feature! Act One was Project X; Act Two is 21 Jump Street. The latter stars Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Ellie Kemper, which we knew about, but there's also Nick Offerman and Rob Riggle. And Ice Cube, and Dave Franco. And a party! Duh, because parties are an essential staple of the high school comedy. As are drugs and pooping oneself. And those aren't even the best part of the trailer. (The best part of the trailer is when Ice Cube says "Twittersphere.")
Following in the tradition of sequel titles like Ocean's Twelve and The Whole Ten Yards, Sony announced in a press release yesterday that the follow-up to 21 Jump Street will be called 22 Jump Street. The previous movie, a remake of the '80s show of the same name, came out last spring and earned good reviews and a ton of money at the box office, a rare feat for a big-budget studio comedy these days. Sony began developing the sequel to 21 Jump Street last year, before the first movie even hit theaters. It was previously announced that Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Ice Cube will be returning [...]
Sony has announced they're planning on shooting a sequel to 21 Jump Street (possibly titled "22 Jump Street: We Moved!") this fall. Jonah Hill will be back starring and co-writing the script with Michael Bacall. Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will likely be back as well. Channing Tatum should be back but he's still an uncertainty because every time he leaves his house 200 women claw at his abs and squeeze his buns until he runs back inside.
Channing Tatum's SNL promos are gonna be great, as soon as he calls his mom, Carol Channing, and his other mom, Tatum O'Neal, to check what his name is. Okay, then once that's settled they'll just wait for Fred Armisen to finish his weekly pre-show affirmations. Then they'll probably just wanna hit the gym a few times to bulk up for the big dance lift. And then after that they'll do the promos.
Sony began prepping the sequel to 21 Jump Streetbefore the first movie even hit theaters, and now, the studio has announced that 21 Jump Street 2 will be out in 2014. Sony revealed the info at CinemaCon yesterday with a logo for the sequel being included as part of the studio's 2014 slate. No specific date has been set for a release at this time, just the year. The original movie's writers, Jonah Hill and Michael Bacall, are also writing the new one, with Hill and Channing Tatum are expected to return as stars. 21 Jump Street's ending set up a sequel where the two main characters [...]
Channing Tatum will host SNL on Feb. 4 with musical guest Bon Iver, and Zooey Deschanel will host on Feb. 11, when she will hopefully come ukelele-to-ukelele with Abby Elliott's impersonation of her. I smell a cute bangs/vintage dress showdown!
