Here's a Gigolo-Filled Sneak Peek of 'Kroll Show's Final Season

The third and final season of Kroll Show premieres next week, but in the meantime Comedy Central released the above sneak peek featuring Kroll as Bobby Bottleservice in a special edition of Gigolo House called Gigolo Horse with a special guest judge that Bobby's not exactly happy to see. Speaking to Complex, Kroll expanded on his decision to end Kroll Show after this season:

It’s the most fun thing I’ve ever done but it also took up a lot of my time but also my brain space. So creatively, if you speak to most creative people, they’ll tell you, you have to put some things to bed [...]

Chelsea Peretti on 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine,' Writing for 'SNL,' and Her New Netflix Special

As an early adopter and prolific user of Twitter, Emojis, Instagram, you name it, actress and standup comedian Chelsea Peretti is somewhat of an authority on all things social media.

So when she says it’s time to move away from our internet-obsessed culture and get back to the basics, we should probably listen.

This is just one of the topics Peretti will be exploring in her upcoming one-hour standup special, One of the Greats, which premieres in November on Netflix.

In the meantime, Peretti is back for another season playing self-absorbed office manager Gina on Fox’s breakout hit Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which debuts in a new timeslot this Sunday.

Chelsea Peretti Helped Pete Holmes Go Through His Wardrobe

On last night's Pete Holmes Show, Pete invited Chelsea Peretti to join him for a segment called "Worst Best Friend," in which she comes in and gets to insult him for a few minutes, as she does. Last night's hook was that Pete doesn't dress very well, so Chelsea came in to go through the show's wardrobe with him, resulting in an extended Cosby impression and exactly zero actual fashion advice.

Adult Swim also released this family portrait from the show, which gives some clues for classic TV fans, and seems to confirm Vulture's guess from this summer.

Scott's Greatest Events have become instant classics, but he's already announced that there will only be [...]

The 9 Best Standup Specials and Albums of 2014

2014 was a banner year for comedy of all stripes, including an incredible collection of standup specials and albums. While the year may have had fewer boldly unique specials than 2013, it compensated with an overwhelming number of solidly funny, well-produced hours from comics of all levels, with a particularly strong crop of debut albums – for each special on this list, there are three other great hours worth checking out. Nonetheless, here are our best albums and specials of the year (in no particular order):

Listen to the Final 'Comedy Bang! Bang!' with Harris Wittels

Scott Aukerman originally hadn't planned to release the latest episode of Comedy Bang! Bang! featuring Adam Scott, Chelsea Peretti, and Harris Wittels, but with the encouragement of his friends and those who knew Wittels before his tragic death last week, Aukerman ultimately decided to share the final Wittels CBB today. Aukerman's intro to the episode is an especially tough listen; here's an excerpt from it:

So a few days ago I didn't know if I wanted to even put out a show this week or put out a show next week, or, you know, even why continue? Why keep doing this stupid show? But in the conversation [...]

Here's the Trailer for Chelsea Peretti's New Standup Special 'One of the Greats'

Chelsea Peretti's brand new standup special One of the Greats premieres on Netflix November 14th, and the streaming network dropped the trailer today with a few sneak peeks. On choosing the name of her special, Peretti told us last month: "I like the idea of positioning myself as legendary rather than trying to fit in. Now do I see myself like that every day? No, but I think it’s a funny attitude and maybe on some weird spiritual level maybe it’s a good attitude."

'Kroll Show's Second Season Evolves Into "Sketch-uational Comedy"

As far as character showcases go, it doesn't get much more elaborate than Kroll Show.

When Nick Kroll's sketch series on Comedy Central returned for its second season in January, it was clear that he had set his sights firmly on the pseudo-celebrity culture of reality television, with a lineup of characters inspired by the most despicable monsters that crawled out of the Jersey Shore and Real Housewives muck: the Guido womanizer Bobby Bottleservice, the psychopathic publicists of "PubLIZity," the man-child toilet-baby C-Czar, the self-destructively vain Rich Dicks, etc. But if the first season served to introduce the freakshow, the second season unleashed them out into [...]
