A 'Mrs. Doubtfire' Sequel Is in the Works with Robin Williams Attached

THR reports that a sequel to the 1993 Robin Williams-in-drag comedy Mrs. Doubtfire is currently in the works at Fox 2000, with Williams attached to the project as well as original director Chris Columbus. While the studio has been trying to get a sequel made since Bonnie Hunt was brought on to write a script in 2001, this new update involves Elf and The Haunted Mansion writer David Berenbaum attached to the current script, and "Williams and Columbus are attached and hopeful about the outcome." No word yet on whether any of the original cast will be returning with Williams for the sequel.

Warner Brothers Has Reportedly Fast-Tracked a 'Gremlins' Reboot

In case you aren't satisfied with the upcoming big-screen returns of Police Academy, The Goonies, The Pink Panther, Fletch, Naked Gun, and Ghostbusters, Ain't It Cool News is also reporting that the 1984 comedy-horror Gremlins is the latest addition to the film reboot lineup. According to the report, Gremlins has joined Goonies as a fast-track priority for Warner Brothers. Adam Sandler to Play a Suicidal Man Who Can See Ghosts in His Next Movie

Adam Sandler is remaking his first Korean supernatural comedy. THR reports that Sandler has signed on to star in and produce Hello Ghost with Chris Columbus attached to direct. A remake of the 2010 Korean comedy of the same name, the film follows a guy who, after a failed suicide attempt, discovers he can see four ghosts who won't leave him alone until he grants them each a wish. It's something he's never done before at least, right?
