Meet This Year's Batch of "Comics To Watch"

Comedy Central showcased its 2011 "Comics to Watch" this weekend as part of the New York Comedy Festival, and boy was it a gas! These kids are gonna be stars, I tell ya! Save ya nickels, 'cause ya gonna wanna see these guys and gals at Carnegie Hall in a few years! Wait a sec, pal, I gotta dial back the old-timey voice knob – Okay. Better. Sorry about that. The show was hosted by Jeff Ross and featured Kevin Biggins, Kurt Braunohler, Michael Che, Emily Heller, Sam Morril, Mark Normand, Josh Rabinowitz and Daryl Wright. Megan Amram, Jerrod Carmichael, Arthur Meyer, Sean Patton, Rebecca Delgado Smith, Joe Mande, Ilana Glazer, Lauren Lapkus, Sheng Wang, and Betsy Sodaro were named by Backstage as "Comics to Watch." Variety Names Its 10 Comics to Watch for 2011

Just in time for the Montreal Just for Laughs festival this weekend, Variety has unveiled its annual list of "comics to watch." It's a list that consistently features people you're about to hear a lot more from; the last couple of years' lists featured Hannibal Buress, Aubrey Plaza, Ellie Kemper, Garfunkel and Oates, Donald Glover and Ken Jeong, amongst others. Here are this year's honorees:
