Dave Foley Is Returning to Network TV as the Star of Canada's 'Spun Out'

Kids in the Hall and NewsRadio star Dave Foley is returning to network TV next month, with a starring role in a new Canadian sitcom. Called Spun Out, it's a multi-camera workplace comedy with an ensemble cast that will have Foley at its center. Foley will play the head of the public relations company that all of the main characters work for, with Paul Campbell, Al Mukadam, Rebecca Dalton, J.P. Manoux, Darcy Michael, and Holly Deveaux rounding out the ensemble. Dave Foley's 10-Year-Old Daughter Wrote, Directed, and Co-Edited This Video Starring Her Dad

Here's "Mr. Heavyfoot Goes To Buy Milk," a very self-explanatory web video starring legendary Kids in the Hall member Dave Foley that was written, directed, and co-edited by his young daughter Alina. It looks like Foley has instilled in Alina an early appreciation for silent films, physical comedy, and painfully long walking sequences, so I bet her future as a successful filmmaker is pretty much solid.

James Joyce was a dirty, dirty man, and Funny Or Die has been capitalizing off that this week in the spirit of Valentine's Day by having Dave Foley, Michaela Watkins, Paget Brewster, Natalie Morales, and Martin Starr give dramatic readings of real love letters written by Joyce. Check Out Scott Thompson's Short Film 'The Immigrant' with Dave Foley, Michael Cera, Margaret Cho, and Will Forte

If the two Buddy Cole Colbert Report segments weren't enough Scott Thompson goodness for you this week, here's a new short he wrote and stars in called The Immigrant about a Canadian comedian named Bob London who gets deported then tries to smuggle himself back to Hollywood via the US/Mexico border. Dave Foley plays Thompson's former cult comedy show cast mate Tim Terry, and Michael Cera, Margaret Cho, and Will Forte play themselves in the short, which includes plenty of heavy-handed references to Thompson's glory days on The Kids in the Hall.
