David Spade Relives His First 'Tonight Show' Standup Performance

Probably the only thing worse than not getting invited over to Johnny Carson's desk after a standup set is getting invited but being too nervous and confused to go over. That's exactly what happened to David Spade many years ago on his very first Tonight Show appearance, which he got to painfully relieve with Jimmy Fallon last night.

'Joe Dirt 2' Is a Real Thing That Is Happening

Don't worry, the Joe Dirt franchise is still alive and breathing. Crackle, Sony's digital network and studio, announced today that they'll be producing a sequel to the 2001 David Spade movie. The first film only grossed $27 million, but Spade cited the movie's high DVD sales at Wal-Mart (seriously) when he first started talking about a sequel in 2006. The sequel didn't materialize and Spade sold a Joe Dirt animated series to TBS in 2010. The project didn't move forward, but now Spade is prepping it as a digital movie for Crackle, to be released online streaming. A rep from Crackle said today that the Joe [...]

Is Adam Sandler Birthing A Three Men And A Baby Remake?

Hold onto your butts, because child abandonment just got a whole lot wackier! Rumors of an Adam Sandler Three Men And A Baby remake emerged today, along with claims that the new film would update the main characters, portrayed by Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson in the original, into three gay men tending to an errant infant. MovieWeb even claims Sandler's man-trio would be involved in a polyamorous relationship, a bold choice which seems extremely, extremely unlikely. If true, however, I will see you all in the front row on opening night, right? Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider are allegedly interested in [...]

This Is What 'Grown Ups 2' Will Look Like in Case You Were Curious

Rob Schneider out, deer piss in.

Adam Sandler Rewarded His Grown Ups Costars With $800k Worth of Cars

Adam Sandler bought all four of his Grown Ups costars $200,000 Maseratis, just because. Seems like a reasonable thing to do! After all, those guys really could use 'em. Last I checked, Rob Schneider was stuck driving around Hollywood in a hand-me-down Ford Fiesta, so this should really be a boost to his famously low confidence.

Jesus Christ, what a world. [via]

David Spade Is Doing a Standup Special for Comedy Central

David Spade is getting ready to do his first standup special in 15 years. Deadline reports that he's doing a one-hour special called David Spade: My Fake Problems for Comedy Central. The special will tape in LA in December and will debut on the cable network sometime next year. This is Spade's second special and the first time he's done standup on TV since his 1998 HBO special, David Spade: Take the Hit.

This Week in Web Videos: "The Honest Bachelor"

A sketch about a popular primetime dating show, featuring David Spade? Meh. That was my initial reaction. “Meh.” In fact, someone emailed me this video on Monday and I just ignored it. Couldn’t be bothered to watch. Why would I waste my time? I’d seen it all before. Some Just Shoot Me sass mixed in with a little Grown Ups past-prime sadness, all topped with a sprinkling of really safe jabs about Bachelor contestants being “desperate whores,” and so on. Ultimately a trusted source convinced me to give it a shot and though my snap judgments weren’t inaccurate, their being true didn’t make this not funny. In fact, it’s [...]
