HBO just announced its summer premiere schedule, including two comedies of note: Season 8 of Curb Your Enthusiasm starts Sunday, July 10 at 10pm, while the last season of Entourage starts Sunday, July 24 at 10:30pm. Oh, and Andrew Dice Clay is guest starring in that premiere, which makes sense. But come on guys, where's the Tucker Max cameo??
Entourage creator Doug Ellin is doing a pilot for HBO called 40 that will "focus on a group of male friends navigating life in a slightly older age bracket." So basically an unfamous, older Entourage? He's already got Ed Burns on board, too! I look forward to seeing the plot lines that they come up with, including:

Todd Levin has had a busy year. He was hired to write for The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien only to have it be unceremoniously yanked from the air a few months later, an experience he recounted in an article for GQ that's required reading for comedy nerds. While waiting for Conan's new show to come together on TBS, he co-wrote the fake sex manual Our Bodies, Our Junk with his writing team The Pleasure Syndicate. And now, he's back to being a writer on Conan, which is debuting in a couple of months.
