Eric Drysdale (The Colbert Report, The Man with F.E.E.E.T.) introduces Craig to the 1970s sci-fi crap-fest Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Learn about Eric's affinity for bad sci-fi that involves music, meet a wise-cracking robot that wears another robot around his neck and hunker down in a trash duct for this week's episode FROM THE 25TH CENTURY.

Finally, Comedy in Viewmaster Form

You remember the Viewmaster, right? That old-school way of seeing 3D images? Well, it's never been used as a comedic medium…until now. Former Daily Show and current Colbert Report writer Eric Drysdale has created The Man with F.E.E.E.T., a "set of 3 View-Master reels with 21 photographs in eye-popping 3D, accompanied by a 12-page read-along storybook."

If you want one, it seems like the only place to get them for the time being are at a staged reading of the story, happening this Saturday in NYC. It should be available online for sale in the coming weeks. Here are the details of the show:

Time Out NY Makes a Good Case for the Year in Microcomedy

Time Out NY has a pretty great list of the year's best comedy moments, like Eric Drysdale's Viewmaster reels and Diddy's appearance at Chris Gethard's UCB show. It seems like a lot of the most fun shows/performances/creations of the year, at least in New York, were the tiny, offbeat, scrappy ones. Long live the small and quirky!

Behind the Scenes of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report with Writer Eric Drysdale

Eric Drysdale wrote for The Daily Show for six years before helping to develop and then writing for The Colbert Report, where he currently works. You may recognize him as Colbert's stage manager "Bobby," although that character hasn't been seen since April of 2008, when Colbert ate him. Naturally.
