Here's a new video from JASH of a food and culture show called "Food Club" that was created by and stars Aziz Ansari, Eric Wareheim, and Jason Woliner, with Parks and Rec writer Alan Yang as Swab Yang. Wearing silly-looking captains' hats, the three comedians travel from restaurant to restaurant, deciding whether the eateries are plaque-worthy or not.
Ansari, Wareheim, and Woliner started their Food Club years ago, before this video, as Ansari told The AV Club in 2010:
It's been three years since comedy duo Tim & Eric's last TV show, Tim and Eric's Awesome Show Great Job!, ended its run, but they're back tomorrow night with the pilot for their new Adult Swim series, Tim & Eric's Bedtime Stories. It's a Twilight Zone-esque anthology series, with the first episode involving Tim, Eric, and guest star Zach Galifianakis living in a haunted house to receive their grandfather's inheritance.
Since it's open letter season, comedy duo Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim both recently wrote open letters back and forth to each other. Check out Tim's letter here, and Eric's here. This definitely is not a move to promote their new Adult Swim show, Tim & Eric's Bedtime Stories, no matter how many times they mention the show.
Quick history lesson: if a music video was funny in the 1980s, it was probably completely unintentional. In the first half of the decade, the ridiculously low production values provided all of the humor, and in the second half, it was the unabashed bombastic elements that made you laugh. Weird Al, the Beastie Boys and their pie throwing antics, and weirdly enough Phil Collins' meta work were some exceptions to that, and helped lighten up the art form in the nineties, when directors like Spike Jonze presented artists in innovative and fun ways. In the mid-nineties comedic actors began to be cast in videos1, notably in [...]
Comedy duo Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim have a new six-day web series starting today and running daily until Sunday. Here's the first episode of the show, called Tim & Eric Go Pro. It comes from JASH, a new YouTube channel featuring original content from Sarah Silverman, Michael Cera, and Reggie Watts. This is Tim & Eric Week over at JASH. In addition to Tim & Eric Go Pro, a faux-reality show that sees the duo strapping Go Pro cameras ("the camera of choice for surfers, skaters and other extreme athletes") to their heads for a week, there will be more Tim & Eric stuff deployed throughout the week. At [...]
The upcoming season of Community is already set to have plenty ofcast changes, and now the show has announced even more big name stars will be seen in the fifth season. Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz, as well as Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, will guest star on the new season, which debuts in January. According to The Wrap, Hurwitz's character, Preston Koogler, is "Greendale’s ultimate party animal. Women want him, and guys want to be him. But, woe to the administrator who tries to stand between Koogler and good times." Hurwitz's casting by returning show runner Dan Harmon is particularly appropriate, as Harmon had a small cameo [...]
After Arcade Fire appeared as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, NBC gave the band a half hour to debut some new material on the network. What aired was this surreal Roman Coppola special with the songs "Here Comes the Night Time," "We Exist," and "Normal Person." The video also includes giant masks and cameos from Rainn Wilson, Ben Stiller, James Franco, Aziz Ansari, Eric Wareheim, Bill Hader, Zach Galifianakis, and a Spanish-speaking Michael Cera.
Cable network Adult Swim unveiled a roster of new shows, specials and pilots this morning. Most notable are Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland's new animated series Rick and Morty, which was announced previously and is expected to premiere sometime in 2014; Paul Scheer's high school drama parody pilot Filthy Sexy Teen$, which he co-created with NTSF:SD:SUV cohorts Jonathan Stern and Curtis Gwinn; and Tim & Eric's Bedtime Stories, a pilot for an anthology series from duo Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim that features Zach Galifianakis in the pilot.
See below for the full slate of programming announced today, which also includes frat guy ghosts, satanic dogs, and new specials from [...]
The new YouTube channel JASH, featuring original videos from Sarah Silverman, Michael Cera, Tim & Eric, and Reggie Watts, launched last week, and here's the trailer for a new JASH web series called Tim & Eric's Go Pro Show, which debuts April 15th and revolves around the comedy duo attaching cameras to their heads to show you what their lives are like. After years of wondering what it's like to be Tim & Eric, you'll finally get to find out.
The first episode of Tim & Eric's Bedtime Storiesis their Halloween special, airing on October 31 at midnight on Adult Swim. To promote the 30-minute special, which stars Zach Galifianakis, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim made this spooooky haunted house promo.
Tim and Eric’s new YouTube channel JASH may not have the same amazing ring to it as Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, but fans of the TV show will be happy to know JASH has a lot of the same sensibilities.
And it would be one thing if JASH was exclusively a venture between Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, but the channel has comedic heavyweights Reggie Watts, Sarah Silverman, and Michael Cera as partners as well.
Together, they're producing short films, music videos, web series, and other projects for JASH, which Wareheim describes as a “place of good.” Since Tim and Eric went off Adult Swim three [...]
