Tomorrow Night: A Special Valentine's Day Edition of Splitsider and Tumblr's Dog and Pony Show

Love is in the air at this week's Dog and Pony Show – awkward, awkward love. That's because, in honor of Valentine's Day, host Halle Kiefer will share her on-stage duties with her ex, Dan Chamberlain. There's no way it can go wrong!

In addition to this soulful reunion, we'll have standup sets by Amber Nelson, Ashley Brooke Roberts, Rob Stern, and Naomi Ekperigin. That's so much goodness! Left Handed Radio: Freddy's Back in '9thmare on Elm Street' Thursday Night

Left Handed Radio presents The Sequel Machine, a monthly live show where 25 writers of all stripes (The Onion, Fast Company, McSweeney's) collaborate on a sequel to one of film's biggest franchises. The catch is that the writers pen one page at a time, and only get to see the page before their own. The results are hilariously twisted and virtually no different than a real sequel.

This month is 9thmare on Elm Street! Freddy Kruger is back in action to slash throats and sling puns.

Go Backstage at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival with Andy Peters' Wandertown Podcast

The sixth annual Bridgetown Comedy Festival brought over 200 comedians (and about as many shows) to Portland, Oregon, last weekend, but don’t be bummed if you weren’t able to make it – you’ve still got a chance be a Bridgetown VIP thanks to Andy Peters’ Wandertown podcast. Wandertown, presented by CleftClips and Soundcloud, captures a cross-section of festival life with dozens of interviews, clips from shows, and chronicles of Peters’ Portland adventures, from taking a tour of the city with local comic Ian Karmel to hanging at a strip club with Byron Bowers and getting (lovingly) harassed by Todd Glass.

His arrival in Los Angeles in the late 1980s began a successful career as a stand up comedian which continues to this day. Diving Deep Into Brooklyn's Own Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival

Last Friday night, outside of the Bell House, the warehouse-turned-ballroom venue in Gowanus, Brooklyn, a single protester paced back and forth. He held a poorly made poster board sign that puzzlingly stated, "No Dark Matter," on one side. Each time he turned to walk the other way, he had to flip the sign around. Inside the Bell House were comedians Eugene Mirman, Sarah Silverman, Jim Gaffigan, astrobiologist Dr. David Grinspoon, and Neil DeGrasse Tyson, the heir to Carl Sagan's project of popularizing science.
