David Letterman Sends Jay Leno an Invitation to Appear on 'Late Show'

Longtime late night nemeses David Letterman and Jay Leno might have a chat before Letterman exits Late Show in May. TV Insider is reporting that reps from Late Show have reached out to Leno with an invitation to appear as a guest on the show before it ends its run on CBS, but Leno has yet to formally accept the offer. Leno and Letterman most recently reunited in a 2010 Late Show Super Bowl ad with Oprah, but the last time Leno appeared as Letterman's late night guest was May 7, 1992 prior to the premiere of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Leno said last year [...]

'Modern Family's Danny Zuker Explains How to Win a Twitter War

"It all comes down to picking the right opponent. Twitter wars are won and lost based on this most basic decision. There are two things to ask yourself: First, 'Can I beat this person?' Especially if this is your first war, you want to find someone you can outwit consistently in 140 characters. Read through their timeline and see if they are inept at cogent comebacks, have an inflated sense of themselves or have a limited vocabulary, repeatedly saying things like 'Loser' or 'Hater' or 'You’re fired.'"

-Modern Family writer/producer Danny Zuker, who had a much-publicized Twitter war with Donald Trump, explaining how to win a Twitter war for [...]

Arsenio Hall and Brian Williams Have a 48-Hour Feud

In a Monday Nightly News segment about late night hosts, Brian Williams presented a Brady Bunch-style graphic of hosts including Conan O'Brien, Andy Cohen, Stephen Colbert, and more, but Arsenio Hall was notably left out. The following night, Hall addressed the omission on his show and delivered a request to Brian Williams: "If you're doing a story about late night, all I ask if that you mention me. You don't even have to use a photo. I know how journalism is these days. Use Samuel Jackson — it doesn't even have to be my photo." Thanks in part to a threat by Hall's guest Suge Knight, Williams swiftly [...]

McHale Jokingly Addresses/Evades Chevy Voicemail-gate – Classic Winger

This morning, while guest co-hosting Live with Kelly, Joel McHale broke his long silence over the whole Dan Harmon-Chevy Chase ego contest. In response to Kelly’s prodding, McHale answered by cracking some jokes and smiling some smiles – it was everything you’d hope for and more. McHale smirked, “It's impossible because there's no way Chevy could figure out voicemail.” He continued, in his best Jeff Winger impression, “He hibernates for nine months out of the year and when you wake someone up, they're very disoriented and a lot of the time, they don't know what they're saying." This is a great point and also great advice for the [...]

Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel Are Gonna Have It Out Tonight

Kanye West wil be stopping by Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight, presumably to settle the Twitter feud the two found themselves in a couple weeks ago. It all stemmed from a parody video that Kimmel made about an interview West did with the BBC, which apparently annoyed the rapper. Kimmel addressed the appearance on last night's show.

Kanye and I had a disagreement a couple of weeks ago, and it got a little bit out of hand. Tomorrow night, we will sit down and discuss it like normal people do — on television. It’ll just be us, and Dr. Phil. And neither of us is leaving until this government shutdown gets [...]

Another Chevy Chase/Dan Harmon Voicemail Leaks to the Internet

Oh, Jesus. Here's a newly leaked voicemail from Chevy Chase to Community creator Dan Harmon in which he goes on at length about how the show sucks and can only be saved by them leaving in all of his hilarious on-set ad libs. At least I think it's a voicemail — at one point you can hear Harmon sort-of respond to Chevy, but he isn't acknowledged. It's not clear if this is another part of a voicemail played by Harmon at the Harmontown show in LA or if it's something different entirely. It is over a year old, however, so it's clear that there's been tension between the [...]
