Lena Dunham Says Season 6 of 'Girls' Will Probably Be Its Last

Lena Dunham is currently filming the fifth season of Girls, and while it hasn't officially been renewed for a sixth season yet, Dunham recently told Variety that season 6 will most likely be the show's final run. "I think America has a tendency to push shows past their due dates," she said. "I like the British model — in and out." Dunham isn't sure yet where Girls will leave Hannah at the very end: "Will she be with anyone? That's the question. And how important is it ending up with someone, and is that the marker of success for a woman?" If you're sad that Girls won't extend [...]

The third and final season of Kroll Show premieres next week, but in the meantime Comedy Central released the above sneak peek featuring Kroll as Bobby Bottleservice in a special edition of Gigolo House called Gigolo Horse with a special guest judge that Bobby's not exactly happy to see. Speaking to Complex, Kroll expanded on his decision to end Kroll Show after this season:

It’s the most fun thing I’ve ever done but it also took up a lot of my time but also my brain space. So creatively, if you speak to most creative people, they’ll tell you, you have to put some things to bed [...]

Said Jackie on the announcement: "Most players in the NFL don’t make it seven seasons, and most TV shows even less so. Mike Schur on the End of 'Parks and Recreation' and NBC's Thursday Night Comedies

If you've been a TV comedy fan within the past ten years, chances are that Mike Schur is behind one of your favorite shows. An original writer and producer on the American Office, Schur currently serves as co-creator of two major network comedies starring SNL alums with Fox's Brooklyn Nine-Nine and NBC's Parks and Recreation, which kicks off its seventh and final season tonight. Ahead of the Parks season premiere, I talked with Schur about how he approached the end of the Amy Poehler-starring show, what he thinks of the future of major network sitcoms, and what separates a successful final season from the rest.

The Stars of 'Parks and Rec' Reflect on the Final Season

Greg Daniels Reveals More Details of 'The Office's' Final Season (Including a Possible M. Scott Return)

Greg Daniels dropped a bombshell yesterday but instead of having a bomb inside of it, it had the news that The Office will be ending this season. Vulture caught up with him to ask about what's to come. Here is a bit of what we came expect:

"David Wallace sent Andy to Outward Bound training over the summer to make him more decisive and confident, and he decides while eating bugs on solo to aggressively go after Nellie and hound her out of the office … Jake Lacy and Clark Duke will play two guys in their twenties, Pete and Clark,  who are hired to go through [...]

'Parks and Recreation's Seventh Season Will Be Its Last

The era of NBC's must-see Thursday night comedies is nearing its end. NBC announced its fall Thursday night lineup over the weekend, and notably absent from the schedule is veteran comedy Parks and Recreation. "We have several of our strongest comedies by some of our best auspices being held for midseason, including the final season of Parks and Recreation," NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said in a statement, which series creator Mike Schur confirmed on Twitter yesterday: "The 7th season of #ParksandRec will be our last (100% mutual between creative team and network). Sad, but happy and excited. See you soon!" Schur also stressed that NBC [...]

'The Office' Will End This Season

So it goes. Greg Daniels announced today that the upcoming season of The Office will be its last. Daniels:

"I think it could [go on], and we had debated whether we could reboot it.  … The format is a very strong format. But ultimately, I think this feeling of family and wanting to wrap up these arcs and do justice to the existing characters in the most creative and explosive way means the show will be changed in such a way that if anything was to continue, it just wouldn't be the same show. We have 15 of the [cast] coming back this season … but it didn't seem [...]
