Bill Murray Is Going to War for George Clooney

George Clooney has lined up an amazing cast for his new WWII movie The Monuments Men, about a team of art curators and historians rescuing pieces of classic art from the Nazis, but the name that interests us most around these parts is Bill Murray. Clooney wrote the movie with Grant Heslov (with whom he collaborated on The Ides of March and Good Night, and Good Luck), and filming is set to begin in Europe in March. Indiewire reports that the non-Bill Murray cast includes Daniel Craig, Cate Blanchett, Jean Dujardin, John Goodman, Bob Balaban, Hugh Bonneville, and Clooney himself, but all of them should be taking lessons [...]

Matt Damon Gets Caught in the Middle of the Clooney vs. Fey/Poehler Prank War

When Tina Fey and Amy Poehler ragged on George Clooney at this year's Golden Globes, they were signing up to be the known prankster's newest targets. Last night, Matt Damon AKA The Garbage Man told Letterman about involuntarily getting thrown in the middle of the situation and read a threatening letter signed by "grown-ass professional comedians" Fey and Poehler.

George Clooney Is Producing a Smothers Brothers Movie

George Clooney and Sony Pictures have optioned the book Dangerously Funny: The Uncensored Story Of The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, the story of the classic 1967-69 CBS show and Tom and Dicky Smothers' journey "from squeaky clean comics to counterculture troublemakers." Intriguing! It's unclear if Clooney would star, but Fantasy Dreamworld Casting, Inc. is very interested in John Mulaney as Dicky and Seth Meyers as Tom. Fred Armisen can play young Steve Martin, who's probably gonna be in this movie too.
