David Caspe and Gil Ozeri Are Developing a Ponzi Scheme Fox Comedy

Happy Endings and Marry Me creator David Caspe has another show in the works. THR reports that Caspe has teamed up with Happy Endings/Brooklyn Nine-Nine writer Gil Ozeri to produce a single-cam comedy for Fox called Frauds, which will follow "a family of two-bit criminals who decides to pull off an elaborate Ponzi scheme." Ozeri will write and serve as co-executive producer with Caspe and Happy Endings/Marry Me EP Jamie Tarses. Frauds makes Caspe and Ozeri's second recently announced project together following news of their Comedy Central pilot Duty back in April.

Meeting of the Minds: Adam Pally and Gil Ozeri from 'Happy Endings' Interview Each Other

Adam Pally and Gil Ozeri have been friends and comedy collaborators for a long time. Originally meeting at New York's UCB Theatre, they, along with Ben Schwartz, formed the three-person sketch and improv powerhouse Hot Sauce. Now out in LA, Adam plays Max and Gil is a staff writer on ABC's straight-up wonderful Happy Endings. With the new season of the show coming up in about a month (Tuesday, October 23rd at 9pm!), I figured that rather than interviewing one or both of them individually, it'd be a lot more fun to just have them interview each other. And I was right.

North Koreans Hated The Three Stooges Trailer About as Much as You Did

This video from Happy Endings writer Gil Ozeri is pretty fantastic and irrefutably proves the thesis that the trailer for The Three Stooges is a universal tragedy transcending political boundaries. We suffer together, as one people. Today, and every day until the movie leaves theaters.

Gil Ozeri Is a Professional Fetishist

Gil Ozeri makes amazingly awkward calls to phone sex operators pretending to have ludicrous fetishes. For example: 90's slang. Now, he's working on an album of pranks for Comedy Central and is looking for weirdo fetish ideas. If you've got good ones, email em to him and he'll use the best one for the album.

'Happy Endings' Alums Land Comedy Central Pilot Order

According to THR, David Caspe has landed yet another pilot order, this time on Comedy Central. Caspe has reunited with Happy Endings alums Matthew and Daniel Libman for a single-cam pilot called Duty starring Gil Ozeri, who most recently appeared on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. According to the report, Duty follows "Kyle, a former football star who loses everything and is forced to start anew by moving back to his hometown and taking a job on the local police force opposite his childhood best friend, Lonnie (Ozeri)." Mike O'Gorman (The Awesomes, Ugly Americans) will play Kyle while newcomer Laura Steinel will play Kyle's former flame Jamie. The Libman brothers — [...]

Adam Pally and Gil Ozeri Are Making a Movie Together

Good buds and Happy Endings co-workers Adam Pally and Gil Ozeri have just sold a comedy movie to Disney. What the comedy will be about is still a mystery, but it'll be produced by Gary Sanchez’s Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Chris Henchy and Kevin Messick. Not a bad lineup! Can't wait to hear more about this one as it develops.

How I Survived Two and a Half Days of Two and a Half Men

Yes, it was quite possibly the stupidest thing I have ever done. Deciding to watch a sitcom (most likely a terrible one) for over sixty hours in a row without a break? So stupid. But, as it turned out, one of the most fun and absurd things I’ve ever done as well. I had such a great time watching the entirety of Two and a Half Men, that I’m actually going through a slight withdrawal from Charlie, Cryer and the Half-Man. That horrendously catchy theme song (beautifully composed by hitmaker Chuck Lorre, by the way) is forever ingrained in my mind. I miss the sudden, unnatural eruption of laughter [...]

Watch the 'Happy Endings' Live Show Right Here Right Now

Happy Endings is finally coming back to TV tomorrow, and to ring in the new season, the cast and writers held a live show at the UCB Theatre in LA on Saturday (embedded in its entirety above). Hosted by cast members Casey Wilson and Adam Pally, the live show is full of funny stuff, whether you're familiar with Happy Endings or not, and it also features Happy Endings actors Damon Wayans Jr. and Eliza Coupe, Happy Endings director Fred Savage (yes, that Fred Savage), Happy Endings writers Gil Ozeri, Jackie Clarke, Brian Gallivan, and non-Happy Endings people like Kat Dennings and Adam Pally's cousin Ben. It's a jam-packed show featuring cardboard cut-outs, crazy [...]

10 Promising Pilots the Networks Didn’t Pick Up This Year

Every year, each of the major TV networks produces a couple dozen pilots for new shows before determining which ones to air that fall. Programming execs at all the big networks just this week picked which pilots to scrap and which ones to air this coming season, but they left some rather promising shows by the wayside. Collected below is info on 10 of the coolest-sounding comedies that ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox passed over. I haven’t seen the pilots for these shows; this list is just going off of their premises and the previous work of the cast and crew.

One last thing before we start, I want [...]

Gil Ozeri Is Watching 62 Hours of Two and a Half Men Straight

Comedian Gil Ozeri wants to punish himself. That's the only explanation that I can think of for the stunt he's kicking off today: Two and a Half Days of Two and a Half Men. Planned before the recent Sheen meltdown/explosion, Ozeri explains his plan thusly: Charlie Sheen is the highest paid actor on television. It is the most watched comedy on TV. It's also a crutch for every comedian when they need to reference the worst thing on tv.

I have also never seen a single episode.

Now, I'm assuming that "Two and a Half Men" is a steaming pile of dog shit. But I don't want to [...]
