Stephen Colbert to Appear on 'The Office'

In what is a flawless casting decision, Stephen Colbert is set to guest star on The Office as Andy's oft-mentioned college a cappella buddy Broccoli Rob. Rob will appear in the Halloween episode, singing a different tune (like a cappella, BOOOM) about the history of Here Comes Treble. Tensions will rise and probably/hopefully they'll have a sing off. And then maybe Michael Scott comes back and meets Broccoli Rob and they hit it off and decide to have a fun sort of debate they call "Even Stevphen" and it lasts forever. Best Halloween EVER.

'Breaking Bad's' Jonathan Banks (aka Mike) to Guest Star on 'Parks and Recreation'

For fans of Breaking Bad this is the greatest news of the week. For those nonfans, I'll cut to the chase real quick: This fella named Jonathan Banks is going to guest star on Parks as Ben's dad. Mike Schur explained the casting to HitFix: "We were working the character description of Ben's dad and I said aloud, 'He should act like Mike Ehrmantraut.' So somebody said, 'Well, why can't we just get Jonathan Banks?'" Great job, somebody. (Breaking Bad Spoiler Alert) Let's all just agree to imagine that Mike didn't get the chemical bucket treatment and instead hopped into a car and drove to Pawnee, Indiana to visit [...]

Ron Swanson and Lucy Lawless Sitting In a Tree

Well, at least they'll sit in that tree until Swanson cuts it down and turns it into a canoe, which he'll in turn give to Lucy Lawless. Lawless is set for a multiple episode arc on Parks and Recreation as a single mother who turns to the parks department for help. In doing so, she meets Ron Swanson and, as these things go, falls for the man.  Here's the twist…dun dun dun…her name is not Tammy. SAY WHAT? (Karaoke with host Dave Holmes #DeepCut) It's true. She'll be named Diane. Diane's a fine name, I guess, but I don't know if Swanson would want a non-Tammy. However, this [...]

A Former Jefe Returning to 'Arrested Development'

Jefe? More like Jeff-e Garlin, who told Paste that he's currently filming Arrested Development: "Now am I in it? I don’t know if I’ll end up being in it, they might cut everything with me. But I am filming some episodes.” SOME episodes? Jeff's Mort Meyers only appeared in a handful of episodes the first three seasons, so this does imply he might have a slightly increased role. Maybe when Maeby got to the appropriate age, he did finally marry her.

Abby Elliott Finds Her First Post-'SNL' Part

Only two weeks after officially leaving SNL, Abby Elliott has already lined up an arc on How I Met Your Mother. She will play a quirky girl named Janeane, whose craziness proves to be overwhelmingly attractive to one of the crew. Maybe it's Ted or Barney or even Robin. Really, anything is fine, as long as it's not Lily's dad because that would be supes gross.

The First New 'Arrested Development' Character Will Be Played By…

John Slattery! The Mad Men star will have a multiple episode arc on the new season of Arrested Development. There is no word yet on whom he'll be playing or if he'll be blind or have a law blog. The role is be described as "top-secret," which makes it even more exciting, as if it were a riddle. Maybe he'll play a top secret service agent. Or, better yet, he'll be the president of Pop Secret, the popular popcorn brand – he'll be the top of Pop Secret.

Melissa Leo Is Amazed Over the Response to Her 'Louie' Episode

"I have worked for 30 years and won an Academy Award. I have never had a response like that to anything. Personally, on the street, people come up to me about that episode. It’s a phenomenon! There’s something about accessibility. And Louis is nothing if he doesn’t appear to be accessible." – Melissa Leo on how one small guest appearance on Louie has gotten her more attention than her Oscar.

"Hollywood Icon" Ron Howard Will Appear on Screen in 'Arrested Development' Season 4

The man that started it all with the line, "But maybe a movie," will again make a physical appearance on Arrested Development. Howard told CNN:

"I’m also told that I’m going to have to make an appearance as I did in the last episode of Arrested Development  - I’m showing up again at some point. So, I’m going to have to film that soon which will be kind of fun. Usually I’m a little too busy, but, with Mitch and Arrested Development, it’s irresistible."

Damn right, you aren't too busy for Mitch. Assuming Ron is again playing Ron, this is an intriguing revelation. Is the fourth Arrested Development [...]
