Seth Meyers Says He'd Be Bad at Hosting 'SNL'

"I would like to put [hosting SNL] a little bit farther in the future, mostly because I don’t think I’d be very good at it … It would be a thing I wouldn’t be able to say no to. Like [Andy] Samberg will be great when he does it for the season finale — that’s a no-brainer. It’s a some-brainer for me."

-Newly-minted Late Night host Seth Meyers, telling The Chicago Tribune why he is in no rush to return to host SNL. Don't expect to see "the Zinger Guy" come back on the show anytime soon.

Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen Are Both Hosting 'SNL' Next Month

Saturday Night Live announced today that Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen will both be hosting the show in April. The April 5th show will be the first time hosting for Kendrick, while April 12th will be the third time hosting for Rogen, who last hosted in 2009.

The musical guest on the Kendrick show is Pharrell, while Rogen's is Ed Sheeran. The next new episode of SNL airs March 29th with host Louis C.K. and musical guest Sam Smith.

Jim Parsons to Host 'SNL' March 1st with Beck as Musical Guest

Saturday Night Live announced via Twitter today that Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons will be hosting the next new episode of the show, on March 1st. This will be the first time hosting the show for Parsons. His musical guest will be Beck, who will be making his seventh appearance.

This will be SNL's first episode back after a month-long break for NBC's Winter Olympics coverage. The March 1st episode will be the first for new cast member Colin Jost, who will be taking Seth Meyers's spot as Cecily Strong's "Weekend Update" co-anchor.

Jonah Hill to Host 'SNL' January 25th

Jonah Hill is set to host Saturday Night Live for the third time on January 25th, the show announced today via Twitter. His musical guest will be the UK band Bastille. Hill, who just starred in The Wolf of Wall Street, will next be seen in the sequel 22 Jump Street, which is due out this summer. He previously hosted SNL in 2008 and 2012. As previously announced, the next new episode of the show will air on January 18th, when Drake serves as both host and musical guest.

Paul Rudd, John Goodman, and Jimmy Fallon to Host the Last Three 'SNL's of the Year

NBC announced today the hosts for the last three SNL episodes of the year: Paul Rudd, John Goodman, and Jimmy Fallon. Rudd will host the December 7th episode with musical guest One Direction, Goodman will host on the December 14th with musical guest Kings of Leon, and Jimmy Fallon will host the Christmas show on December 21st with musical guest Justin Timberlake.

This will be the third time hosting for Rudd, who's promoting Anchorman 2. It's the 13th time for Goodman, who hasn't hosted SNL since 2001. Fallon, who was a cast member from 1998 to 2004, has only hosted once: SNL's Christmas show in 2011. SNL is live [...]

Drew Carey and Craig Ferguson Will Host Each Other's Shows on April Fool's Day

Drew Carey and Craig Ferguson are set to try out each other's jobs for a day. USA Today reports that the duo, who spent nearly a decade starring on ABC's The Drew Carey Show together, will be guest-hosting each other's shows on April 1st, with Ferguson anchoring daytime game show The Price Is Right and Carey taking over Ferguson's The Late Late Show. Both shows are broadcast on CBS.

Carey will be bringing his announcer, George Gray, and the Price is Right models to Late Late Show. Last year for April Fool's, Carey and Gray switched places with the models on the show. Ferguson already taped his Price [...]

Alan Tudyk Takes Over for Mather Zickel as Host of Adult Swim's 'Newsreaders'

Adult Swim's Childrens Hospital spinoff Newsreaders, an absurdist take on 60 Minutes-esque magazine shows that premiered last year, is getting a new host for its second season. Season 1 host Mather Zickel has been cast in the Will Ferrell/Adam McKay-produced NBC sitcom Bad Judge, starring Kate Walsh, so Alan Tudyk will be the host for Season 2, which is expected to debut later this year. Like Zickel, Tudyk is an actor who's skilled with both comedic and dramatic acting and has that same ability to play newsmen and TV hosts well.

Patton Oswalt Will Host the Independent Spirit Awards

Patton Oswalt has been named the host of the 2014 Independent Spirit Awards, the annual awards show honoring independent filmmakers. The ceremony will take place in the afternoon on March 1st and will air on IFC that night at 10pm. Oswalt follows last year's host Andy Samberg. Seth Rogen hosted the year before.

This is hardly the first awards hosting gig for Oswalt. He hosted the Webby Awards the last two years. Check out his most recent Webby's opening speech below:

Seth Meyers to Host the 2014 Emmy Awards This August

Two months after taking over Late Night and a day after being named one of Time's 100 most influential people, TV Line reports that Seth Meyers has signed on to host this year's Emmy Awards, which will air August 25th on NBC. This makes Meyers's first big-time awards hosting gig since the ESPY Awards and the White House Correspondents both in 2011. Melissa McCarthy to Host 'SNL's Superbowl Weekend Episode

Melissa McCarthy is going to host SNL for a third time. According to Variety, McCarthy is set to return to the show for its Super Bowl weekend episode on February 1st following the announcement of hosts Drake (as both host and musical guest; Jan 18th) and Jonah Hill (with musical guest Bastille Jan. 25th ). A musical guest for McCarthy's episode has not yet been announced. McCarthy's next big movie Tammy doesn't hit theaters until this summer, but who better to host during Super Bowl weekend than the world's biggest ranch dressing fan?
