Yannis Pappas Couldn't Be a Professional Athlete, So He's Making Comedy About Them Instead

When describing a move from New York to Miami, comedian Yannis Pappas said, “I had a New York body. I was thirty pounds heavier. My body looked like yogurt with hair on it. I looked like a middle relief pitcher for the Kansas City Royals.” Sports references like these come easy for Pappas, a former wannabe pro athlete turned standup, who has been honing his specific brand of humor for some 15 years. Pappas' current role as the host of AOL's new sports-centric daily comedy series 2 Point Lead is a perfect marriage of his rabid love of sports and his razor sharp wit. I talked to Pappas [...]

'Mad Men's John Slattery Discusses His 'Arrested Development' Guest Spot

It was revealed a few months ago that Mad Men star John Slattery would be guest starring in the upcoming fourth season of Arrested Development, and just today, Slattery gave an interview to The Huffington Post in which he discussed his experience filming the show (albeit without revealing who his character is or sharing any plot points). It's just nice to hear a talented guy gush about a show we all love. Here's the entire Arrested Development portion of the interview:

How about Arrested Development? You know, I don't really know anything. Since I was on, which was brief, they've probably reconceived the whole thing. Mitch Hurwitz [...]

Standup Guy Branum Wrote a Great Piece About Diversity and Representation on TV

"Isn't that the fascinating irony of being under-represented in media? That when your group is finally represented, your response is a sharp, shocking sense of 'that is not like me.' Black America chaffed at the middle class comfort of The Cosby Show, career women of the 70s winced at the prim perfection of Mary Tyler Moore, and gay men rolled their eyes at the swishy camp of Jack on Will and Grace. But with decades of perspective, we can now see that these were groundbreaking series that did huge work to educate America about issues of race, gender and sexual orientation. The problem wasn't the TV shows; it was us. We didn't know how to be seen."

Megan Amram Raps About the Huffington Post

Here's Twitter's Megan Amram's newest video, in which she raps about Ariana Huffington and her Post. Sample lyric: "If I got you a nametag, it'd say, Arianna Huffington/Boys wanna bang you twice because they gotta smell that muff again." I'd love to see that up in some nice 62-point font, right?

Huffington Post Offering Free Buses to Daily Show Rally from NYC

Last night on The Daily Show, Arianna Huffington announced that she'd be offering up free bus service from Manhattan to DC for Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's Rally to Restore Sanity/March to Keep Fear Alive on October 30th. I wonder if she'll pay the bus drivers or will just offer them the great experience and resume boost that working for her provides.

Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer Visit Dave Hill's New Web Series

Here's a new episode of HuffPost Comedy's first-ever web series, Stallin' with Dave Hill, with guests Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer from MTV's Nikki and Sara Live. This may end up being the best web video filmed in a ladies' restroom you see all week.

If that's not enough Dave Hill for you, head over to Vulture for a video of Hill showing off the best places in New York to visit for Valentine's Day.

Colbert Takes On the Huffington Post with the Colbuffington Re-Post

On last night's Colbert Report, Stephen covered the sale of The Huffington Post to AOL. He reasoned that since The Huffington Post is made up of repurposed content created by others (including an entire Stephen Colbert section), he might as well repurpose all of their content for his own payday. Enter The Colbuffington Re-Post. I wonder if HuffPo will post up this clip and surround it with Google-baiting keywords? Eh, probably.
