Good news for South Park fans but bad news for those without Hulu Plus: At the Television Critics Association press tour on Saturday, Hulu announced that it's made a pact with Trey Parker and Matt Stone to stream the entire South Park library on Hulu Plus. Mitch Hurwitz to Develop a New Series for Netflix Under Multi-Year Deal

According to Deadline, Netflix has found a way to keep Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz around by signing him under a rare multi-year deal to create and produce series for the streaming network. The deal would involve Hurwitz as both a creator of new series as well as a developer for other creators' projects "as a non-writing executive producer," acting as Netflix's consulting creative for their upcoming comedies. While no firm updates on Arrested Development have been made yet, Hurwitz and Netflix have reportedly been in talks to produce another season or original movie in the near future.

"It is incredibly inspiring to get to produce for [...]

At the end of the article, show creator Joel Hodgson teased a possible online reboot of the show — which has spawned the online audio-only spin-off RiffTrax as well as live show Cinematic Titanic — that will include a brand new and yet-to-be-revealed host with cameos from MST3K alumni:

Crackle Adds New Comedy Series 'Tightrope' Produced by Bryan Cranston

On top of their recent multiple-season renewal of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Deadline reports that Sony's video site Crackle has also added a comedy with Bryan Cranston serving as executive producer. Titled Tightrope, the series will "replace a character from a classic detective series with a modern-day actor" and "juxtaposes the modern character with irreverent comic sensibilities and also with older characters from another era to reshape the stories into a contemporary comedy." No cast or release date has been announced yet for Tightrope, but the idea of Bryan Cranston infusing humor into old detective shows sounds very promising.
