"The Over-Correction" didn't fulfill its promise almost immediately. After its initial ten seconds of four of our heroes on the phone with one another seemingly hiding out in different tiny spaces, we were all praying to Rufus that a twenty one minute parody of R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet was about to flicker in front of our faces. Initially I was as disappointed as you were, but after thinking about it for more than a second it became clear that outside of the abstract it would be a terrible idea. Or so they claim. There isn't a government body governing the blooper bodies… yet. I heard after Michelle Obama gets everyone to drink kale juice instead of Pepsi, she's going to focus on bloopers. Well, her or Sam the Eagle, who will likely ban them all together. I'd choose Fozzie to be the Secretary of Bloopers because he's the best and under his rule, everything always would be bloopers. Review Roundup: The Five-Year Engagement Engages But for Too Long

It was hard to get a sense in the trailer if Five-Year Engagement, the new film from Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller, is going to be good. The pedigree is there both in front and behind the camera but the trailer included a pretty awful "I heard that black pianese are much bigger" joke. So what have the critics been saying?

Currently, it's at a 60% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 59 on Metacritic, which is definitively in the pretty good range. (In comparison, Forgetting Sarah Marshall clocked in at 84% and 67 respectively.) What's interesting is most of the negative reviews and positive reviews [...]

Details on Jason Segel's Young Adult Novel Series 'Nightmares!' Revealed

Jason Segel revealed earlier this month that he has a series of young adult novels on the way, and now, we've learned the books' titles and what they're about. Entitled Nightmares!, the series is "an adventure story about a group of kids who realize it’s up to them to save their town from fear, which has manifested itself in the form of nightmare creatures that have slipped into the everyday world." Christoph Waltz Will Be a Muppet Villain

Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained star Christoph Waltz is close to signing on for a substantial role in the new Muppets movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Waltz is in talks to play an Interpol inspector, one of the few major human characters in the new movie (besides a million cameos). Other human roles that have yet to be filled are that of a "Russian femme fatale" and a "male lead 'whose intentions are always in question.'"  As reported previously, James Bobin (who directed the previous Muppets movie) and Nicholas Stoller (who co-wrote it with Jason Segel) are writing the sequel for Bobin to direct. Jason Segel Wrote a Series of Young Adult Novels, Out Later This Year

Jason Segel revealed yesterday that he has written a series of three young adult novels and that he hopes to have the first one released later this year. Segel spoke about the books for the first time last night at a Forgetting Sarah Marshall screening and Q&A hosted by filmmaker Jonathan Demme in Pleasantville, New York. The book series, which is currently the subject of a bidding war between publishing houses, is based on Segel's first screenplay for a kids adventure movie, which he sold to a movie studio for "super cheap" when he was 21 because he "didn't know any better." Which show was better: Saved by the Bell or The Wire? Both were beloved while never winning a single Emmy award. Both were quintessential shows that redefined television with their honest depictions of drugs and class warfare. It's a tough, unfair question if you have seen both, but the question popped up in my brain thanks to "Twelve Horny Women." One of the members of the New York Judiciary Committee that Marshall faced that didn't appreciate his wonderful puns was played by none other than Dennis Haskins, Mr. Belding himself.

Jason Segel Is Playing a Punk Rock Dad

Jason Segel and writer Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3) sold a pitch to Fox today for a new comedy movie based on the documentary The Other F Word, Deadline reports. The doc (trailer after the jump) follows a bunch of aging punk rock musicians as they transition into fatherhood while still trying to stay true to who they are (I'm assuming "the other f-word" in the title is "fatherhood" but I've been wrong before).
