Watch the Producer's Cut of the 'Parks and Recreation' Series Finale

In case Tuesday night's Parks and Recreation series finale didn't give you enough closure, NBC uploaded the full 53-minute producer's cut that includes a deleted scene with Jean-Ralphio and Mona-Lisa, which Ben Schwartz shared on Tumblr yesterday along with a wonderful farewell message titled "Goodbye Parks and Recreation, I’ve Always Loved You." Here's an excerpt:

Last night, after 7 seasons, the final episode of Parks and Recreation aired and it hasn’t quite hit me yet that it’s all over and I’ll never play Jean-Ralphio again. It has been such an amazing, love-filled ride. I wanted to say thank you to that perfect cast, legendary writers room, brilliant [...]

Jenny Slate Will Play Jean-Ralphio's Twin Sister on 'Parks and Rec'

Everyone's favorite Pawnee sleazebag Jean-Ralphio apparently has a twin sister, and she'll be appearing in a future episode of Parks and Recreation, Entertainment Weekly reports. Jean-Ralphio's twin, Mona Lisa, will be played by none other than Jenny Slate, a wildly-funny stand-up who you may recognize from Saturday Night Live, Bored to Death, and her Marcel the Shell with Shoes On short films and books. In an episode set to air later this season, Mona Lisa will get a job as a saleslady at Tom Haverford's Rent-A-Swag store. Just when you thought this show couldn't top having Joe Biden as a guest star, they go and hire Jenny [...]

Let Jean-Ralphio Teach You How to Live Your Best Life

It's a little weird that Parks & Rec's Jean-Ralphio (Ben Schwartz) isn't on the cover of GQ's every issue, considering the obvious fact that he is the number one role model for today's gentleman. I guess an interview is okay for now, until the universe wises up and lets him be the male Oprah he was born to be.

GQ: It's pouring rain, and you and your female companion(s) are confronted with an enormous puddle. How do you resolve the situation? Jean-Ralphio: In the above question, it was silly to put a ( ) around the 's' in "companions." There will never be just one female companion. [...]

Ben Schwartz Explains How His Haircut Led to a Role on 'Parks and Rec'

"Prior to that, my hair was crazy. I'd been working with Mitch Hurwitz on a pilot, and I mentioned needing to get a haircut. But he's like, 'No, no, no, you will not touch that hair.' So because that went well and I thought it made me stand out more, I was like, 'Fuck it, I'm gonna keep it for auditions.' So I go to Parks and we're about to film my one-and-a-half pages of trying to be Ron [Swanson]'s assistant. Mike Schur comes down, wanting to see how I'm gonna play it, and he just fell in love with my hair. I did Jean-Ralphio once and Mike goes, 'We're [...]

Jean-Ralphio Will Return to Help Tom with a "Legitimate Business"

Everyone's favorite awful person Jean-Ralphio Saperstein will back on Parks and Recreation next season for at least one episode. Mike Schur explained that he's coming back to help his old buddy Tom:

"Tom as the beginning of the season is struggling a bit because he hasn't had any good entrepreneurial ideas in a while and he's running short on cash and he strikes what could be the first ever actually legitimate business idea that he has ever had — and he invites Jean-Ralphio into the mix to be his business partner again."

Schur stressed that this isn't like Tom's other shenanigans:

"It's not like a flash of inspiration [...]

Talking to Ben Schwartz About Jean-Ralphio, Soapdish, and Driving a Rented Car to the Oscars

Imagine it’s 1991 all over again, and you’ve just been cast as the voice of the soon-to-be-fan-favorite Hans Moleman on The Simpsons, your all-time favorite show. Every episode seems to top the one from the week before, and you’re ecstatic to be playing a beloved, recurring character on something so great. Welcome to Ben Schwartz’s life, minus the Hans Moleman thing.

Schwartz plays scene-stealing Jean-Ralphio on Parks and Recreation, possibly TV’s funniest show. But before he was cast, he was a fan of the show, so every episode is like a dream come to true for him. The last few years have probably felt like a dream, in fact: [...]

Henry Winkler Will Play Jean-Ralphio's Dad on 'Parks and Rec'

It looks like we'll be meeting more of Jean-Ralphio's family next season on Parks and Recreation. THR reports that living TV legend Henry Winkler will be playing the dad of actor Ben Schwartz's popular club-hobbing douchebag character, Jean-Ralphio Saperstein. The news comes a year after Jenny Slate was cast as Jean-Ralphio's sister, Mona-Lisa, who appeared in three episodes so far. Winkler, who recently starred in the latest seasons of Arrested Development and Childrens Hospital, has signed on to appear in the first episode of Parks and Recreation's upcoming sixth season, an hour-long season premiere set in London that airs September 26th. He'll potentially recur on the [...]

Ben Schwartz Doesn't Lick Girls' Necks in Real Life

Here's a nice long interview with Ben Schwartz about House of Lies and whether he would ever use Jean-Ralphio's flirting techniques in real life:

I think a human being would get slapped for that. I don't think I'd want to go out with a girl who'd want to go out with Jean-Ralphio. I don't think I'd want to date a woman who, when I go up to her and start dancing like a crazy person and licking her neck would be like, "Oh, this is the person I've been looking for!"

He also talks about how the many rejections he's encountered in entertainment have prepared him for [...]
