Girls star/creator Lena Dunham and her co-showrunner Jenni Konner are teaming up again to create a new potential series for HBO, Deadline reports. It's a comedy based on Betty Halbreich, New York's preeminent personal shopper, who's spent decades shopping for and dressing rich and famous New York socialites as a personal shopper and dresser. Halbreich has worked with Joan Rivers, Meryl Streep, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Katie Couric, and helped to design the look for HBO's Sex and the City and Woody Allen's early films. HBO Officially Renews 'Girls' for a 12-Episode Third Season

HBO has officially renewed Lena Dunham's series Girls for a third season consisting of 12 episodes, expanding from the previous season orders of 10 each. HBO Renews 'Girls' for a Third Season Before Season 2 Even Starts

Lena Dunham's HBO series Girls has been renewed for a third season, Judd Apatow reveals in a recent interview with The Hot Button in promotion of his new movie This Is 40. Apatow says (at the interview's 34-minute mark), "We're about to shoot the third season of Girls. Season 2 starts in January."
