Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart are set to star in American Ultra, an action comedy from Chronicle writer Max Landis and Project X director Nima Nourizadeh. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie follows an "an unmotivated stoner named Mike, who lives with his girlfriend [...] in a small, sleepy town. One night, their lives take an unexpected turn when Mike's past comes back to haunt him, and he becomes the target of a government operation set to wipe him out." Stewart and Eisenberg previously appeared together in 2009 comedy-drama Adventureland.
There’s been a lot of hubbub over Judd Apatow’s latest series Girls, which just became the first ever TV show released through Apatow’s production company to last beyond its first season, but let’s look back to a time when the reigning King of Hollywood Comedy didn't have such an easy time earning second season renewals.

Woody Allen's next comedy is called Nero Fiddled, and it takes place in Rome. The four vignettes comprising the film will star Woody Allen himself, IN THE FLESH, plus Alec Baldwin, Jesse Eisenberg, and Ellen Page (and Roberto Benigni, Penélope Cruz, Judy Davis, and Greta Gerwig). Okay, I realize this probably won't happen, but if Alec Baldwin played Nero, that would be incredible. Anyway, Sony Pictures Classic says there are "more laughs in this one than you can imagine" and calls it "the perfect summer comedy of 2012." Yeah, that's what you'd like us to think, ISN'T IT, SONY?
Some SNL hosting news: on January 29th, Jesse Eisenberg and Nicki Minaj will be live from Studio 8H. Then on February 5th, we get Dana Carvey and Linkin Park. Why Dana Carvey?
