Here's the Very Syracusey Trailer for 'Adult World' Starring John Cusack and Emma Roberts

If you want to watch this trailer for the new comedy Adult World, don't watch it in the same room as a Syracuse grad. They won't care that it's another grumpy writer role for John Cusack, an American Horror Story reunion for Emma Roberts and Evan Peters, or a promising looking tale of Millennial self-discovery. No, they'll just shout stuff like "DUDE, THAT'S THE HALL OF LANGUAGES!"

Adam Scott in Talks to Replace John Cusack in 'Hot Tub Time Machine 2'

Adam Scott may be the new face of the Hot Tub Time Machine franchise. When a sequel to the 2010 time travel comedy was announced in January, stars Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, and Clark Duke were onboard but leading man John Cusack was not. Now, The Wrap reports that Parks and Recreation and Party Down star Adam Scott is in negotiations to play the sequel's lead character, a totally different character from Cusack's. Hot Tub Time Machine director Steve Pink is returning and co-writing the script with Corddry, who didn't have a hand in writing the original. Although John Cusack was fine in the original, Adam Scott [...]

'Hot Tub Time Machine 2' Is Something that Seriously Might Happen

The 2010 comedy Hot Tub Time Machine only grossed $50 million on a $36 million budget but went on to become a surprise hit on Blu-Ray and DVD, and now the studio behind the original is considering making a sequel. Stars Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, and Clark Duke are in "exploratory talks" to return, according to The Hollywood Reporter, but the original's leading man John Cusack is not involved. The deal is still in the early stages, but Hot Tub Time Machine 1 director Steve Pink is in talks to direct again and to write the script with Corddry, who had no hand in writing the original. Corddry co-writing [...]

John Cusack to Star in "Screwball" Comedy Dictablanda

Because 2012 took itself too seriously for its goofiness to be considered screwball, John Cusack has signed on to star in Dictablanda, a new comedy from Argentinian filmmaker Alejandro Agresti. Cusack also co-wrote the script with Agresti, although the only thing we know about the plot is that it will involve "international mayhem." So like 2012! Just admit that you're making a comedic version of 2012, Cusack.

'Hot Tub Time Machine 2' to Start Filming in June, Maybe with John Cusack

In January, news came out that a Hot Tub Time Machine sequel was in the works, but now, star Craig Robinson has revealed to Collider that the sequel is official and filming is scheduled to begin in June. The previous report on Hot Tub Time Machine 2 was that Robinson, Rob Corddry, and Clark Duke would be the focus of the new movie with John Cusack not reprising his role, but when Robinson was asked this weekend if Cusack is returning, he responded, "Negotiations are still going, and everybody's involved." The original movie's director Steve Pink is expected to return and to co-write the script with [...]

The Lost Roles of 'Back to the Future'

One of the most popular movies ever made and one that seamlessly fused sci-fi and comedy, Back to the Future turned 25 just over two years ago. In honor of the film’s 27-year-and-3-month anniversary, we’re looking at some of the potential casting choices that almost happened back when Back to the Future came out two decades (plus seven years and 3 months) ago. Most movies and TV shows go through an exhaustive casting process before production begins, but Back to the Future is unique in that part of the movie was filmed with different actors in some of the main roles before the filmmakers decided it wasn’t working and [...]
