Watch the New Red Band Trailer for Johnny Knoxville's 'Bad Grandpa'

We've already seen the regular trailer for Johnny Knoxville's Borat-esque Jackass spin-off Bad Grandpa, which comes out this Friday, but here's the new red band trailer, which features more rubber dicks.

The Three Stooges Movie's Long Journey to the Screen

This weekend finally sees the release of the Farrelly Brothers’ Three Stooges movie. I say “finally” not because I’m particularly looking forward to the slapstick-heavy redux, but because those who read the entertainment trades and movie sites know that new casting announcements and rumors about Three Stooges have been flying around on the web for what feels like an eternity now.

As a New York Times piece this week points out, “The script has been kicking around for so long that the initial plan… was for [Moe] to get a makeover on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” but the Three Stooges movie has actually been in development [...]

Johnny Knoxville and Andy Samberg to Join the Farrelly Brothers' Three Stooges?

This whole Farrelly Brothers Three Stooges movie…I just don't know, guys. Once they lost their hot-shot A-list cast for it (Sean Penn, Benecio Del Toro, Jim Carrey), it seemed like it might have been a good idea to put the thing to bed. Hell, even with that cast it seemed like a questionable idea. But they're soldiering on, for better or worse, and the latest rumors put Johnny Knoxville, Andy Samberg and Australian comic Shane Jacobson on the shortlist to play the Stooges. OK.

I preferred the idea of them casting unknowns who look a lot like who they'll be playing; I can't imagine seeing Andy Samberg [...]

Johnny Knoxville Is Developing an Autobiographical Comedy for ABC

Rivers Cuomo isn't the only star to get the autobiographical sitcom treatment this week. Deadline reports that Johnny Knoxville has signed a two-year first-look deal with ABC Studios to develop new projects under his company Hello Junior! Knoxville has sold one project to ABC under the deal already with an untitled Southern family comedy inspired my his own "unconventional childhood," with Knoxville attached to serve as narrator. Knoxville signed a similar two-year deal with Paramount Pictures back in May, so his upcoming projects will be for both the big and small screens.

A Look Behind Johnny Knoxville's New Prank Movie 'Bad Grandpa'

"During lunch, Jackson Nicoll, the child actor playing Irving’s grandson, walked up to me and asked if I was a fan of the Jackson Five; when I answered yes, he clenched his five fingers into a fist and took a swing at my groin. I asked him if it was funny to laugh at people who get hurt or have a trick played on them, and he answered: 'Everything you do on this crew is funny. As long as it has to do with getting hurt.'"

The New York Times Magazine has an interesting look at Jackass star Johnny Knoxville's new prank movie, Bad Grandpa, which follows his elderly [...]

Patton Oswalt and Johnny Knoxville to Play Brothers in Upcoming Comedy

Patton Oswalt and Johnny Knoxville are on board to play brothers in an upcoming, as-yet-untitled movie from Todd Rohal about "a pair of battling brothers who attempt to honor their ailing father by taking a troop of boys on a last ditch camping trip that goes wildly wrong." Rob Riggle, Maura Tierney and Patrice O’Neal are also on board in supporting roles.

Most Critics Don't Hate 'Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa'

Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, which is released nation-wide today, is the latest in the Jackass empire of TV shows and films. Though not meant to be a critical darling, critics have been fairly positive about the movie; at Rotten Tomatoes, the film's earned a 64% fresh rating, while Metacritic has it at 53/100. A mix of hidden camera pranks and scripted scenes (with a script from collaborater Spike Jonze), it stars Johnny Knoxville as a recently widowed 86-year-old embarking on a cross-country trip with his 8-year-old grandson.

Trailer: 'Jackass Presents Bad Grandpa' Is a Narrative Movie with Pranks Like 'Borat'

The Jackass guys are going in a different direction with their new movie. Called Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, it comes out October 25th and it's a narrative film built around Johnny Knoxville's old man character, Irving Zisman, from the Jackass series with pranks mixed in with the story a la Borat or Brüno. Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine tell USA Today that they've been approached about making an Irving Zisman movie for years but only recently had a way of doing it that they liked.

All The Jackass News Fit To Print: Johnny Knoxville Not In Three Stooges, Jeff Tramaine To Direct Revenge Of The Jocks

Now that they're not screaming inside a poop-filled Port-o-potty on bungee cables, the gentleman of Jackass have time for other pursuits. Jackass director Jeff Tremaine is working on Revenge Of The Jocks, his first narrative film, which is about "three men, once popular high school jocks with their glory days behind them, [who] find themselves forced to adapt to a world run by the geek and nerd crowd." Meanwhile, Johnny Knoxville will not be in the Three Stooges movie. Rumored to be playing Moe, Knoxville was interested, but never got an offer from directors the Farrelly brothers. While the Jackass star did seem like a natural for [...]
