What's on TV This Week: The Emmys and the Finale of 'Chelsea Lately'

Tonight, Seth Meyers hosts the Primetime Emmy Awards from LA. Emmys will be given to Outstanding Comedy Series, the Best Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series along with Outstanding Writing and Directing for a comedy series, amongst many others. Also this week Chelsea Handler’s show Chelsea Lately comes to a close in a one-hour live finale. Handler will begin a new talk show on Netflix set to premiere in 2016. Tosh.0 is back with new episodes as well as Colbert Report, The Daily Show, and @midnight. In late night, Mike Myers will be on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Chris Lilley's New Show 'Jonah from Tonga' Premieres on HBO This August

After the success of Chris Lilley's Summer Heights High spin-off series Ja'mie: Private School Girl on HBO, the Aussie comedian is moving on to the next teenage character-focused show on the American pay network with the premiere of Jonah from Tonga this August. In a press release today, HBO announced that Jonah's six-episode spin-off show is set to premiere on Friday, August 8th at 10pm with two back-to-back episodes. Click through to watch the trailer.

Becoming 'Jonah from Tonga' with Chris Lilley

Chris Lilley is back. His newest show, Jonah from Tonga, premieres on HBO tomorrow night. The six-episode series follows Summer Heights High’s Jonah Takalua as he returns to school in Australia after being expelled from Summer Heights and sent to Tonga.

As in his previous shows Angry Boys, Summer Heights High, and Ja’mie: Private School Girl, Lilley wrote, produced, directed, and stars in Jonah from Tonga. With an all-new cast of supporting characters, the documentary-style series explores rebellious Jonah’s hilarious attempts at being a “good boy,” which take him both to prison and a singing competition.

Chris Lilley's Next Project Is a One-Hour Mockumentary About Snowboarders Who Don't Know How to Snowboard

Australian comedian Chris Lilley (Summer Heights High) is taking on snowboarders for his next comedy. The Sydney Morning Herald reports that he's making a one-hour, one-off mockumentary about snowboarding culture with Australian blogger/prankster David Thorne called Cold Feet: America's Bunny Slopes. The special will air debut on HBO in the US on August 8th and in Australia the UK in September. Here's how Thorne describes it:
