Dan Aykroyd and Judy Belushi Launch Blues Brothers Records

In addition to promoting Crystal Head Vodka and seeking out new Ghostbusters "branding opportunities," SNL alum Dan Aykroyd has a new business venture in the works. THR reports that Aykroyd has teamed up with John Belushi's widow Judy to launch a new record label called Blues Brothers Records with a mission to "find the next generation of blues performers." Jazz label Blue Note Records will act as distributor, and the label will also partner up the House of Blues — which Aykroyd co-founded in 1992 — for promotional events and performances.

Ellen Page in Talks to Play John Belushi's Wife in Belushi Biopic

Ellen Page has signed on for a supporting role in the upcoming movie about John Belushi's life. The Wrap reports that she's in negotiations to play Belushi's wife, Judith Jacklin (now known as Judy Belushi Pisano), who was his high school girlfriend who married him in 1976.

The biopic, based on Belushi: A Biography by Judy Belushi Pisano and Tanner Colby, stars Emile Hirsch as the late comedian, following his career in the late '70s and early '80s as he appeared on SNL, Animal House, and Blues Brothers. John Belushi's Ex-Wife and Anne Beatts Are Trying to Bring The Blues Brothers to TV

For some reason, Judy Belushi and former SNL writer Anne Beatts are trying to revive The Blues Brothers for TV. I mean, you guys don't want to let the magic that was Blues Brothers 2000 die, do you?!

The premise for the show currently has "the pair out of jail and Elwood, who was raised in an orphanage, looking for his real dad." Neither Dan Aykroyd or Jim Belushi would star; instead, they'd look to recast the duo. Oh, and also, there is this: If the pilot goes to series, each episode would include a musical number, presumably featuring a new Blues Brothers band.
