Talking With 'Out There' Creator Ryan Quincy

Ryan Quincy has been working in animation for well over a decade. He spent 12 years on South Park (he's featured in the behind-the-scenes documentary 6 Days to Air) and now he's taking his original characters to IFC in his new animated series Out There (which premieres tonight at 10:30/9:30c on IFC). I had a chance to chat with Quincy about the show, his "out there" character designs, and fainting in sex ed class.

Adult Swim Picks Up Dan Harmon's New Animated Show, Coming in 2014

We reported earlier this year that Dan Harmon created an Adult Swim pilot called Rick and Morty with his Channel 101 cohort Justin Roiland, but just this weekend, it was announced via Roiland's Twitter that Adult Swim has ordered the show to series. Harmon and Dino Stamatopoulos's production company, Starburns Industries, also confirmed the news via Twitter. The first season order is for ten half-hour episodes that are expected to air in late 2013. Rick and Morty follows a genius inventor and his non-genius grandson and is based on Roiland's old Channel 101 shorts "The Real Animated Adventures of Doc and Mharti," which are based [...]
