Jim Jefferies Stuffed the UK's Vanna White in a Suitcase in the Trunk of His Car
Australian comedian Jim Jefferies (FX's new series Legit) has a fascinating story for Conan that's probably the best story about game show sidekick smuggling ever told.

FX is doubling down on the Aussies. Having already found a hit with down under import Wilfred, the cable network has just placed a 13-episode order for Legit from Australian comedian Jim Jeffries. Here's what we know about the show so far: Co-created by Peter O’Fallon and Jefferies, Legit is about a comedian, “Jim” (Jefferies) and his misguided attempts to become legitimate in life. He is encouraged in his quest by his best friend “Steve” (Dan Bakkedahl), and Steve’s brother “Billy” (D.J. Qualls).
How delightfully vague! But they've got plenty of time to get all the details out there, as the show won't premiere until next January. But [...]

Jim Jefferies has a lot of experience playing a version of himself; his standup specials are filled with real life stories of fights, drugs and sex toys. In his new show Legit, premiering Thursday on FX, he again appears as version of himself, a foulmouthed Australian comic trying to make it in Los Angeles.

FX has found success by looking down under with their excellent remake of Wilfred, and now they're looking back to Australia for their next comedy. They've just ordered a pilot presentation for Legit, a new comedy from Australian comedian Jim Jeffries that'll be about "a misanthrope trying to go legit." Trying and failing, I assume.

FX just announced that it's premiering a Thursday night comedy block on January 17th, 2013. Charlie Sheen's Anger Management (which was recently picked up for 90 episodes as part of mindless march towards syndication) will kick things off with back-to-back episodes at 9 and 9:30 before settling into the 9:30 timeslot for good. The fourth season of Archer will air at 10, followed by Legit, a new series starring Australian comedian Jim Jefferies at 9:30. The supporting cast for Legit features Dan Bakkedahl (The Daily Show), D.J. Qualls (Road Trip), and Gillian Vigman (MADtv), and the show follows Jefferies in his quest to "become legitimate in life." So, [...]
