Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg May Star in Another Buddy Comedy Together

Last year it was announced that Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn were teaming up to star in a Gary Sanchez-produced buddy comedy together called Daddy's Home about "a mild-mannered radio executive (Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad ever to his wife’s two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling, freeloading real father arrives, forcing stepdad to compete for the affection of the kids." Ferrell's costar has switched two times so far from Ed Helms originally attached in 2010 to last year's announcement that Vince Vaughn had joined the project with Tropic Thunder's Etan Cohen onboard to direct. While both incarnations of Daddy's Home fell apart, [...]

Hot Tub Time Machine Team to Coach Ferrell-Wahlberg Reunion

With 3 Mississippi, former high school football kicker Will Ferrell adds football to his ever-expanding list of sports-related movies. Joining him is former Other Guys co-star and former pretend football player, Mark Wahlberg. It’s being reported that Sean Anders and John Morris, the guys behind the soon-to-be-released Adam Sandler vehicle That’s My Boy and the soon-to-be written Dumb & Dumber sequel, have be chosen to rewrite the playbook (the script) and coach the game (direct the film). Here’s hoping they are able to lead this team to victory and other sports sayings.

Mark Wahlberg and Jonah Hill to Blow Stuff Up for Laughs in Good Time Gang

Mark Wahlberg and Jonah Hill have both signed on to Good Time Gang, an action comedy about "two would play cool-guy mercenaries whose latest mission gets complicated when it turns out one of them is related to the target." That Mark Wahlberg sure likes his action comedies!

Patrick Warburton Joins Living-Teddy-Bear Comedy Ted

From Greg the Bunny to Mel Gibson's upcoming The Beaver, Americans have long used animate stuffed animals as an avatar of their deep-seated rage and confusion. To whit, Patrick Warburton join's Seth MacFarlane's Ted, which focuses on Mark Wahlberg's living teddy bear and its effect his relationship with Mila Kunis. Warburton plays a "sexually confused" Enterprise Rent-A-Car co-worker.

‘Ted’ Is the #1 Original R-Rated Comedy Ever; Seth MacFarlane Finally Finds Success

Seth MacFarlane has been waiting around for his big break for a while now. Sure, he has three hit TV shows, is hosting the Oscars, and made the highest-grossing comedy movie of the year, but no one’s really a success in this industry until they’ve written and directed the #1 original R-rated comedy of all-time, worldwide. This past weekend, MacFarlane’s first movie Ted reached an estimated $469 million worldwide gross, surpassing The Hangover, which had $467.5 million, to become the top original R-rated comedy ever. With things finally going Seth MacFarlane’s way, he should have an easier time landing his second movie and getting his agent to return his calls.

Seth MacFarlane Is a Bong-Smoking Teddy Bear in the Red Band Trailer for Ted

Here's the red band trailer for Ted, Seth MacFarlane's movie directing debut about a man and his walking, talking teddy bear. It's got a real Wilfred vibe about it, especially the bong-on-the-couch scene, with the big difference being that everyone can actually see Ted walking around — he's not a figment of Wahlberg's imagination. The whole sassy talking animal/alien thing that MacFarlane loves to do is easy to buy in a cartoon, but it might be a harder sell in a live-action movie. What do you think?

Alec Baldwin Is Joining Adam McKay's Ferrell/Wahlberg Football Comedy

Looks like Alec Baldwin is joining what was formally known as The Turkey Bowl and is currently known as Three Mississippi as "Wahlberg’s father, a Kennedys-obsessed dive bar owner who pushes his family into an annual Thanksgiving football game with Ferrell’s clan across town, which they always lose." Also on board: Rob Riggle as Wahlberg's gay cousin and, apparently, Jeremy Renner. I am looking forward to all those boston accents!

Seth MacFarlane's First Movie Will Feature Mark Wahlberg and a CG Teddy Bear

Mark Wahlberg is going to be starring in Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane's first movie, Ted. Wahlberg will play an average Boston guy who's normal except for the childhood wish he made that his teddy bear could come to life — and it did. Years later, the boy is an adult, and the bear is still his best friend. But the bear, a carousing, irresponsible slacker, is getting in the way of his buddy committing to adulthood and the girl he loves. MacFarlane will provide the voice of the bear, which will be brought to life through CG in an otherwise live action format.

Sounds a whole lot [...]

'Entourage' Film to Start Shooting in January

Since the series finale, an Entourage movie has been a popular topic of conversation at many male necklace stores and wet t-shirt contests. Well, it seems like they've finally priced out the tequila budget and are looking to start shooting in January, with a script written by the show's creator Doug Ellin. Previously, Mark Wahlberg talked about the film as a return to the show's roots:

I think a 90-minute movie of sheer craziness—the guys getting back to just being about the guys, you know? Lose the ladies. Go crazy. Give people what they want.

Yeah, screw those chicks, man. It should be just dudes hangin' and drivin' [...]

The Entourage Movie You Need To Live Is On Its Way

If you were already pressing cold steel to the side of your head at the prospect of surviving a Turtle-less existence, chase away those thoughts of suicide for at least a year or two more: the Entourage movie is definitely happening. Well, allegedly. “We’re going to do a movie," creator Doug Ellin confirms. "We’re going to do it. It’s a question of when and how quick. We’ll sit down and come up with an idea." Co-producer Mark Wahlberg adds, "“Well, I said if I had to finance myself, I’d do it. I certainly hope it has a chance to become a feature film, everybody always says the episodes [...]

Will Ferrell And Mark Wahlberg To Throw Around The Ol' Pigskin, Shriek At Each Other in Turkey Bowl

Nascar. Basketball. Ice Skating. Soccer. The never-ending battle for hearts of the American public. Will Ferrell has dominated every sport he's set his mind to, so of course it was only a matter of time before he took on football. Ferrell joins Wahlberg in Warner Bros' Turkey Bowl, which stars The Other Guys duo as "guys from football-obsessed towns who lead rival teams in an annual tackle football game for bragging and trash-talking rights." I don't know about you, but I've really missed Rage Ferrell, and I'm looking forward to a lot of red-faced meltdowns in his future. Alec Baldwin is already set to play Mark Wahlberg's [...]
