Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence are developing  a new multi-camera sitcom together that they would both star in and produce, according to a recent news story posted on Deadline. Before you go and say that's a bad idea, you should know that the article mentions the two actors had a meeting with the studio in November in which they "showed great chemistry." You feel pretty silly now, don't you? The plan is to get a network to commit to 10 episodes of the untitled yet-to-be-written show, with an option to pick up 90 more if it's a hit, which is the model that Charlie Sheen's FX show Anger [...]

Someone Alert Gina: Martin Lawrence In Talks For New TV Show

Vulture reports that Martin Lawrence is currently in negotiations with CBS over a potential new sitcom, a show which the Martin actor would star in as well as executive produce. As you might recall, Martin ended its run on Fox in 1997, meaning there is now a generation of humans on this earth with only a rudimentary knowledge of the force we call Sheneneh.

Spike TV Is Giving Eddie Murphy a Star-Studded Tribute

Macho cable network Spike TV just announced it’s throwing a flashy tribute to comedy mainstay Eddie Murphy next month. A lot of big-name Hollywood types are set to toast Murphy and his three-decades-long career during the special, entitled Eddie Murphy: One Night Only, including Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson, Tracy Morgan, Martin Lawrence, and Eddie’s brother, Charlie Murphy. The TV special will include comedy sketches, musical performances, and short films, ending with an appearance by Eddie Murphy, of course, because he’d be a big jerk if he skipped out on this big party Spike is throwing in his honor.
