Aubrey Plaza and Max Greenfield Get Serious in the 'About Alex' Trailer

Here's the trailer for About Alex, a new comedy-drama about a group of 20something friends who reunited for a weekend after one of them attempts suicide. Written and directed by Parenthood writer Jesse Zwick , About Alex boasts an ensemble cast that features Aubrey Plaza, Max Greenfield, and some non-comedy people too. The movie hits theaters on August 8th.

Max Greenfield Was Too Shy to Tell Lorne Michaels About His 'SNL'-Themed Bar Mitzvah

New Girl star Max Greenfield went on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night and shared this funny story about deciding to tell Lorne Michaels about his SNL-themed bar mitzvah and then wimping out. I guess Lorne Michaels never stops being a super intimidating figure for comedy people, even when you're the star of a hit network show.

Max Greenfield Schmidts Up 'Goop'

New Girl's Max Greenfield guest edited Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop this week. Weird, right? The result is so delightfully self-serious with quotes like: "I take a deep breath in and I realize that in this moment I am fine and everything is okay. More importantly, I am reminded that my A.P.C. jeans are so perfectly worn in that they are appropriate for any season and I am suddenly at ease." And: "A trouser that lets people know you’re down to party in the classiest way possible." And lastly: "I love Jonathan Adler but more importantly I love throws." Read more here; you won't be disappointed.

'New Girl's Max Greenfield to Star in Michael Showalter's 'Hello My Name Is Doris'

New Girl star Max Greenfield has signed on to star in Michael Showalter's upcoming dramedy Hello My Name Is Doris, The Wrap reports. Greenfield recently appeared in Showalter and David Wain's Sundance film They Came Together.

"It's a story about Doris, this character, she's an older woman," Greenfield told The Wrap. "Her mother passes away and she's then forced to kind of find a new life in the city, and she meets this younger guy and thinks that he's the answer. It's very funny, but it kind of toes the line. It'll be different than what you're used to [seeing] with him." While the role of Doris [...]

Watch a New Web Series Written, Directed, and Starring Max Greenfield

Come on! Like any lady would get away from Schmidt – no chance. The best part about this, other than every part, is that the series was made for Axe. Yes, that Axe, the body spray people. Schmidt would most definitely be really pumped (or psyched) to know that the actor playing him ended up becoming the Jewish body and face of Axe. Watch part two of the series below. Try to imagine the characters doused in Axe but try not to throw up. It would ruin your computer screen. [Via]

'New Girl's' Max Greenfield to Schmidt Up 'They Came Together'

Max Greenfield will play Paul Rudd's younger brother in the David Wain romantic comedy satire, They Came Together. Earlier this year, Wain directed an episode of the New Girl so one can only assume he caught a look at Greenfield's thoroughly impressive Jewish abs and knew he had to cast him in one of his movies.

'New Girl's Season Two Was Great, No Thanks to the Parents

New Girl concluded their excellent second season by making one of the world's most awful songs briefly profound.

"Where do we come from? Where do we go?" mumbled Nick Miller in the closing moments of last night's season finale. He was paraphrasing "Cotton Eye Joe," which he justifiably denied enjoying earlier in the episode, betrayed by his involuntary fistpumping. The first question was something that was on the minds of all of the main characters all season long, influencing their decisions as they traversed through the murky, angsty wilderness that is living as a late 20s/early 30s year old with slapstick, pregnant pauses, and a lot of yelling, sometimes [...]

Schmidt on 'Girls'?????????!

Lena Dunham in a recent interview was asked, "Which character [on TV] do you wish you had created?" To which she responded: "Probably Schmidt from New Girl. He just tugs at every string I have." Oddly enough, Max Greenfield was asked a few months back, "Who would you want to guest star on [New Girl] as Schmidt's love interest? " To which he responded: "Lena Dunham! Not only do I want Lena Dunham to play my love interest, I would fly out to New York to do whatever she wanted me to do on Girls." Which begs the question: When is Schmidt and/or Max Greenfield going to guest star on Girls? There seems like four [...]
