One of New York's best standup shows is ending its seven-year run later this month. The New York Times reports that Max Silvestri, Jenny Slate, and Gabe Liedman's free weekly standup show Big Terrific is set for its final bow on Sunday, April 26th in Brooklyn. Since starting the show, Slate and Liedman have both moved to Los Angeles to work on various film and television projects, and Silvestri was recently named the host of an upcoming Bravo series called Recipe for Deception. As previously reported, a new video website called Thundershorts is launching on June 26th, and here's a trailer for one of their shows, Gabe & Max Need Help. Created by and starring comedians Gabe Delahaye and Max Silvestri, the four-part series follows two friends who decide to attend couples counseling, with Kumail Nanjiani playing their counselor.
Brooklyn-based comic Max Silvestri has been in the business for a decade now. His free weekly standup show Big Terrific, a New York comedy scene staple that he started with friends Gabe Liedman and Jenny Slate, celebrated its fifth anniversary this past March.
