Rachel Dratch and Megan Mullally Will Appear in the Final Season of 'Parks and Rec'

Parks and Recreation's next season will be its last, and the show is lining up some special guest stars. Entertainment Weekly reports that Amy Poehler's fellow SNL alum Rachel Dratch has signed on to appear in at least one episode "with a potential to return," but details on her role are being kept under wraps. This news follows EW's earlier update that Natalie Morales and Megan Mullally are set to return for the final season as well; Mullally will return as Tammy 2 during the season's second episode, while Morales will return as Tom's ex-girlfriend Lucy in multiple episodes. While you're waiting for Parks and Rec to [...]

'The Kings of Summer' Is a Very Nick Offerman-y Thing

The Kings of Summer opens in select cities today. It will make its way to the other, non-select cities at some point soon. Patience is a virtue.

The Kings of Summer seems to have come from the mind of Nick Offerman, but it was actually written by first time screenwriter Chris Galletta, a former David Letterman joke writer. The plot of the film finds three teenage boys spending the summer in the woods, building a house and trying to live a Walden type existence to get away from their annoying and overbearing parents. While this goes on, Nick Offerman, who plays Frank, the father of the lead MIA rapscallion, [...]

Watch Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally Rap About Smelly Dicks

Here's Megan Mullally performing a cover of rapper Riskay's "Smell Yo Dick" with her musical duo "Nancy and Beth" (a.k.a. Mullally and Friday Night Lights actress Stephanie Hunt) at the Largo in Los Angeles, featuring a surprise cameo from Mullally's husband and frequent co-star Nick Offerman. Rapping about dicks is the furthest thing from playing Ron Swanson Nick Offerman has ever done.

Fred Armisen, Megan Mullally, and More Are Voicing IFC's New Animated Series 'Out There'

IFC just announced the voice cast for its new animated series Out There, which premieres February 22nd on the cable network. Ryan Quincy, South Park's Emmy-winning animation director, created, wrote, and produced Out There, which follows a socially awkward kid named Chad (voiced by Quincy), his best friend Chris (Roiland), and little [...]

Tig Notaro, Rob Corddry, and Megan Mullally were guests on last night's Late Late Show, and during the interview both Notaro and Mullally pitched themselves as TV hosts. Notaro listed some of her qualifications as the potential host of next year's Oscars, and Mullally tells Corden she would love to be a late night talk show host but "they never hire women, you might have noticed, for late night." Watch more from the interview below:

Watch Nick Offerman Serenade Megan Mullally on 'Leno'

Here's Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman on Leno last night, serenading his wife Megan Mullally (who's not there) with a tune he wrote called "The Rainbow Song." Fellow Leno guest Usher doesn't seem to approve.

Talking With 'Out There' Creator Ryan Quincy

This post is brought to you by Out There, premiering tonight at 10:30/9:30c on IFC.

Ryan Quincy has been working in animation for well over a decade. He spent 12 years on South Park (he's featured in the behind-the-scenes documentary 6 Days to Air) and now he's taking his original characters to IFC in his new animated series Out There (which premieres tonight at 10:30/9:30c on IFC). I had a chance to chat with Quincy about the show, his "out there" character designs, and fainting in sex ed class.

Tell us what Out There is all about, and how it came to IFC.

Out There is about two best [...]

Ron Swanson's ex-wife Tammy #2 will continue her streak of annual Parks and Rec appearances this season, TVGuide reports. Megan Mullally will be back as Tammy, who returns to jeopardize Ron Swanson's new relationship with a citizen named Diane (played by Xena: Warrior Princess's Lucy Lawless). As if Ron Swanson doesn't already have enough intimidating ladies in his life.

Rob Lowe, Jenna Fischer, and Megan Mullally to Star in New Series 'Apocalypse Slough'

Will Forte isn't the only performer to star in a show about the end of the world this year. Deadline reports that Rob Lowe, Jenna Fischer, and Megan Mullally have all joined the cast of Apocalypse Slough, an upcoming 10-part comedy/drama series on British channel Sky 1 that NBC is also set to air in the US. Described as "an adrenaline-fueled witty epic," Slough centers on "an eclectic group of ordinary people in an extraordinary situation: a collision is imminent with an eight-mile wide comet that’s destined to wipe out all life on Earth. ADHD Review: 'Axe Cop' Drools; 'High School USA!' is a Teenaged 'South Park'

Sneak previews of Axe Cop and High School USA! will run Sunday at 9:30 and 9:45 p.m. eastern, respectively, with all due respect, on Fox. The shows will make their official series premieres beginning at 11 p.m. Saturday, July 27th.

Fox's initial raison d'etre was to be the "alternative" to the staid, lame network programming us human beings had foolishly grown accustomed to. While Fox still reaches the youngest viewers among the "big four" channels today, cable has become the home to the more subversive, niche, talked about TV shows. Not coincidentally, cable is also where more and more viewers, and more and more money, are going. This cannot [...]

Watch Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally in the 'Kings of Summer' Trailer

Here's the trailer for a new coming of age comedy called The Kings of Summer, in which Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally play supporting roles as the parents of a couple of the lead characters. Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Comedy Central's Mash Up), the movie drew critical acclaim when it premiered at Sundance earlier this year, despite the casting director making a big mistake by casting real life married couple Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally as the parents of different kids.
