Michelle Obama to Guest Star on 'Parks and Rec'

Michelle Obama is set to make her sitcom debut. THR reports that the first lady is set to cameo in Parks and Recreation's one-hour season finale, titled "Moving Up," which was filmed recently and will air Thursday, April 24th. Obama shot her cameo in Miami, where she was working to raise money to fight childhood obesity. Past political figures to land on Parks and Rec include Joe Biden, John McCain, and Barbara Boxer.

Parks's showrunner/co-creator Mike Schur told THR that his dream political guest star is Leslie Knope's idol, Hillary Clinton:

"I always imagined the perfect ending to the series — and I hope it's not for a while [...]

Humble cookbook author Michelle Obama stopped by The Daily Show to discuss gardens, vegetable feasts, and how kids spend 7.5 hours a day in front of a screen. Speaking as someone who professionally spends upwards of 10 hours a day in front of a screen, all I have to say is Step It Up Kidz. Michelle Obama to Return to Daily Show to Talk about Plants

On May 29th, First Lady Michelle Obama is making her Second appearance on the Daily Show for an interview that will take up about a Third of the episode. Her previous appearance was during the 2008 campaign so now she'll be able to talk about the goings on of the White House. Though, apparently, she'll be focusing mostly on one part of the house, its garden. She will be  promoting AMERICAN GROWN: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America, her book about growing vegetables and such at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Maybe, she'll share the recipe to the President's favorite Kale and Kale Soup with Kale Chips [...]

Bill Murray Hangs Out With President Obama at B-Ball Games, Not a Big Deal

Bill Murray was appointed the Obama White House's official First Comedian this weekend in a ceremony held inside my imagination. Outside my imagination, Murray just happened to be at a basketball game the Obamas were attending because Michelle's brother is the head coach, and they were required by Celebrity Law to converse. Just trading stories about world domination, probably. Then Mick Jagger and Oprah strolled by and they all went out for beers. Sharing a couple drinks, a couple anecdotes about running the universe. It's whatever.

'SNL' Review: Kerry Washington Is Ready

I never thought we would see the day when SNL considered itself newsworthy enough to parody. But it happened — not in the form of a quick joke during the monologue or Weekend Update, or a walk-on by Lorne Michaels, as has happened before — but with a whole cold open sketch, wherein host Kerry Washington was compelled to play numerous black female characters (Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce) because SNL literally had no one else who could do them. The meta-sketch also included a half-apologetic text scroll from the producers promising to fix the situation, unless they "fall in love with another white guy first," and a cameo by [...]
