Mick Jagger Calls Monty Python a "Bunch of Wrinkly Old Men Trying to Relive Their Youth"

To introduce the press conference ahead of Monty Python's live farewell shows in London starting this week, Mick Jagger — who has made fun of himself plenty of times in the past — starred in the above clip alongside a lazing Charlie Watts, in which Jagger trashes the comedy group for being a bunch of old men who were hip back in the '60s and '70s but are now irrelevant and overplayed.

Mick Jagger Promos the 'SNL' Finale; Wastes Magic

If your favorite part of SNL each week is the promos, than this is your finale. They even have Kristen Wiig in them, for what might be her last promos until she hosts the show in two seasons from now. Also, man did that wrinkly Australian fellow teach her a lot of sex stuff when she was a kid.

'SNL' Writer Colin Jost on How He Wrote Kristen Wiig's Farewell Sketch

"I started [on SNL the same season as] Kristen [Wiig], and she came in as the one new female cast member and was great from the beginning. But it’s surprisingly rare that you know that a cast member is leaving, and until they really say they are, you always hope that they’re going to come back. SNL writer Colin Jost to Entertainment Weekly, giving the rundown on preparing Kristen Wiig's memorable "She's a Rainbow" goodbye sketch.

Mick Jagger has been the musical guest three times and kind of hosted once, as part of the Rolling Stones (they played three songs and appeared in only two sketches; Ed Koch did the monologue). Most famously, Jagger took part in the above mirror sketch that was reprised earlier this season with Jimmy as the one being impersonated (below). Is Mick a good choice? Is it going to be like the Betty White episode but male? Do you think there will be a [...]

'SNL' Recap: Mick Jagger and a Night of Farewells

When your show has become a cultural icon, I imagine it’s difficult to just be a “good comedy show.” SNL season finales carry a special burden — they must feature an appropriately iconic host (Steve Carell in 2008, Will Ferrell in 2009, Alec Baldwin in 2010, Justin Timberlake in 2011, and now Mick Jagger in 2012), end the season on a memorable note to keep people buzzing over the summer, and provide a proper send-off to any cast members that might be leaving the show. That’s all on top of being strong, stand-alone episode… a feat in and of itself.

This year’s finale seemed to prioritize two objectives — [...]
