Parks and Recreation is set to air its 100th episode this Thursday, and NBC just put out this 20-minute retrospective with the past looking back on the past five years. And, of course, it features Perd Hapley singing with a top hat, suit, and cane.

Watch 'The Chris Gethard Show's 100th Episode

After over two years, comedian Chris Gethard's unpredictable public access/web series The Chris Gethard Show reached a giant milestone last week: 100 episodes. The 100th episode was just uploaded to YouTube over the weekend, and here it is in all its emotional, bizarre glory.

Ranking the Anniversary Episodes of The Simpsons

This Sunday on Fox, The Simpsons will air its 500TH EPISODE. To put that number in perspective, that’s nearly 100 more than the combined episode totals of Family Guy and South Park. Even King of the Hill, which seemingly ran for forever, only lasted 259 episodes, half of The Simpsons’ epic run.

Whether the show should be off the air is beside the point (though the plot description of Sunday’s episode is, “the Simpsons discover that everyone in town has grown tired of them and are secretly plotting to have them thrown out of Springfield forever,” so they’re commenting on that in a meta way) – I’m instead focusing [...]

'The Onion' Turns 25 This Week

Fake news juggernaut The Onion turned 25 yesterday. It was 1988 when two college students started the publication as a print newspaper. Now, The Onion is now a comedic institution, boasting a website with multiple sections, various TV projects, several books, the Onion News Network, and various other web videos. Two and a half decades after its inception, The Onion is sharp as ever and a home to some of the sharpest comedy writers around.

Christopher Guest Teases a Spinal Tap 30th Anniversary Reunion in 2014

Next year marks the 30th anniversary of This Is Spinal Tap's release, and in a new interview, Christopher Guest, teased the possibility of some sort of a reunion in 2014. When asked by The Guardian if there are plans for a Spinal Tap reunion soon, Guest replied, "We get asked to do shows on a regular basis. But what I will say is that we're in the midst of talking about something for next year…" Guest also reflected on all of the things the fake band has accomplished over the last three decades, saying, "Since the film 30 years ago we've gone on tour, playing Wembley, the Albert [...]

Watch Bill Murray's Appearance on David Letterman's 20th Anniversary Show

Bill Murray's appearances on Letterman are always something to look forward to, and last night was no exception. Murray, who was Letterman's first guest on both his shows in 1982 and 1993 respectively, dropped by to celebrate Letterman's 20th anniversary on The Late Show and he pulled out all the stops. Here's Murray's entire 20-minute appearance on the show last night, in which he enters dressed as Liberace, jackhammers open a hole in the stage to retrieve a time capsule from 1993, and caps it off by singing "I Will Always Love You" to Letterman.

After 100 Episodes, Chris Gethard's 10 Favorite 'Chris Gethard Show' Moments

Tonight, The Chris Gethard Show airs our 100th episode on public access television. Before that, I spent two years doing the show as a stage show at the UCB Theater. On the public access show alone, between the episodes, pre-taped specials, and our 12-hour long election coverage special, we’ve created almost 120 hours of free content. And that’s on top of stage shows at UCB, times we’ve traveled cross-country, and all the other dumb shit we’ve put together.

It’s an overwhelming thing to step back and realize. It’s even more overwhelming to realize that it seems to mean a lot to people. Not everyone enjoys the show, and [...]
