Watch Aubrey Plaza Try to Steal Will Ferrell's MTV Movie Award

Last night during the MTV Movie Awards, Aubrey Plaza ran onstage and tried to grab Will Ferrell's "Comedic Genius award" out of his hands during his acceptance speech (at the 1:53 mark in the above video). She had the title to her upcoming movie The To Do List written in marker on her chest, and quickly returned to her seat after about ten seconds of trying to take Ferrell's award. MTV is claiming that the stunt was unplanned and that Plaza was removed from the premises after the incident, but she did appear in the audience later in the show so that could be bullshit. Jason Sudeikis Plays the Made-Up Soundtrack to Our Lives at the MTV Movie Awards

Their film might not be a Jaws-caliber cinematic gem, but if a performer is committed enough to his or her craft to get other people's feces in their screaming mouths, then they too deserve a memorable theme song. Jason Sudeikis channeled the hell-bound spirit of Randy Newman and penned a few winners for MTV Movie Awards' fake theme songs bit, celebrating Jackass 3D, skinny Seth Rogen and a festive golden shower with Emma Stone. Because what's a hot jet of urine between platonic friends who also happen to have sex? Buried!

Will Ferrell Will Receive the MTV Movie Awards' First-Ever "Comedic Genius Award"

MTV announced today that they're handing out a new annual prize at the MTV Movie Awards this year. It's called the "Comedy Genius Award," and Will Ferrell will be the recipient of the first one ever at the 2013 Movie Awards, which'll be held on April 14th and be hosted by Rebel Wilson if you aren't totally sick of awards shows already after these past couple months.

Jason Sudeikis Annoys Emma Stone, Kristen Stewart

Here are a couple of new promos for the MTV Movie Awards, which Jason Sudeikis is hosting a week from Sunday. In them, he shows up to introduce himself to/harass the folks that will be up for the very prestigious awards that they hand out for stuff like Best Kiss and Sexiest Tween or whatever the hell they do at that wards show. Bridesmaids and Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson has just been tapped by MTV to be the host of the network's 22nd annual MTV Movie Awards next year. The ceremony is set to air on April 14th and sees the trend of MTV using a comedian to host the awards show continue. Russell Brand hosted last time and was preceded by Jason Sudeikis, Aziz Ansari, Andy Samberg, Mike Myers, and Sarah Silverman before him. Prior to that, the MTV Movie Awards were in a weird era where they hired people like Jessica Alba and Lindsay Lohan to host. Jason Sudeikis To Host MTV Movie Awards

Ryan Seacrest announced earlier today that Jason Sudeikis will host the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, June 5 at 9pm. Sudeikis joins the eight other SNL alums who have hosted in the past, including Andy Samberg, Eddie Murphy and the illimitable Jon Lovitz. 2011 hasn't exactly been a gangbuster year for films so far, but if Aziz Ansari could mine Avatar for gold in 2010, I think we'd be okay with a few more Black Swan jokes, right? I'm pretty sure we can count on at least one monkey-nibbling-a-weenis tribute number, and that's enough for me to tune in.
